I think a "classy" lady would be one that own and drove one as opposed to posing next to one...right?

 

He did say classy pics, not classy ladies. Now I like chicks and cars as much as the next guy and these pics don't faze me a bit, but classy is not a word that comes to mind.

It strikes me mostly like simplistic commercial attention, which usually is a bit tacky if anything. I suppose that classy refers to them not being pornographic.

Im wondering too the fascination of a car show model posing next to a car for minimum wage and how that evokes emotion....Its corny, tacky and if you've seen one Chinese car show or another, you see these skinny hires posing and acting like "if you spend your money with our company, she will be attracted to you". Who cares about this? Jeez. Its the most guttural, basic appeal to a man. And if you are a real car guy, its a distraction. If I wanted to look into a car at a show and a pale mannequin was doing her schtick in front of the car, I'd tell her to beat it so I could do what I was there for.

Further, if you own a Ferrari and cant get the attention of a chick, the issue wasn't that you bought the wrong car. There's nothing classy about admiring a clueless peacock standing in front of the real beauty, the car itself.

I did not think that models posing with cars was limited to the Chinese. I did google it and it merely showed car shows, which take place in china. In 20 years of reading car forums on a daily basis, this is the first time I recall seeing this. Thanks for the education.

Hey no offense but the OP was the one that posted the original shot from the "classy" Chinese car show. And you're right, women model at all car shows. I just stayed on theme of the post. But that said, Chinese car shows particularly use women to sell cars in a way that the women become the major part of the show unlike I see elsewhere. It's taken to the extreme. And If you look at the "Chinese car show" Google result, you don't "just see car shows in China" as you said, you see 90% of the results women posed in front of cars. Most examples you dont even know what car is being photographed. I know because that's where I just got these pics from. Take a look for yourself and tell me i'm lying. Theres no racial connotation to the fact that these particular shows have evolved into a beauty pageant. It is what it is.

Further, we can assume that this approach is used because it works. Thus the need for this post. I just dont find it "classy" in general, Chinese or otherwise. Especially when were talking Ferrari, in which the beauty cant be matched by a face painted mannequin.

 

Howbout pictures of women who own Ferraris?
