I bought a 3' Cavallino as well that is cast aluminum from a fellow Fchat member. Since I had plenty of time these last 2 months (here in NJ) I painted a wall in my garage that I had to watch the paint dry for 5 coats while I finished a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle over a week. I think it turned out pretty decent.

 

Once you start there is no stopping...…..

Looks classy and in good taste.

Looking to do an accent wall in as close to Rosso Corsa or Rosso Scuderia as possible.

My wife got me the same one for Christmas!
I got the lettering as well. It’s nice, but a real pain to get it perfectly lined up.

Mine is like an operating room for now, which I like. Maybe I need to add some logos. Great pics in this thread.

 

I used Benjamin Moore Aura line and paint color/code is Red 2000-10. It's not a perfect match to the Rosso Corsa but that would only matter if my 458 is right next to it. Otherwise, I love the color and it looks great on my stairwell.

 

You are giving many people great inspiration with your post.

I did the same. The garage was hideous and I’ve been wanting to paint the walls, epoxy the floor, and frame all the concours posters I’ve collected over the years .... also bought a prancing horse off eBay... 3 days work... //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/

Looks like a a+ job for me.
So much more satisfying to do the job yourself even though we know of any and all imperfections.
When we hire someone we just look at the big picture and usually not the details.
Even then, it is a bummer because we know that we could have done the same job and usually with better results...

Now, every time you drive or even walk into your garage you will have a great feeling accomplishment.
