Sorry can't find any threads relating, but replaced stock battery with Odessey Battery, on battery tender, but died after 3yrs. Contacted Odessey dealer and they responded with no battery for a '03 Ferrari. Any suggestions for a battery that holds charge and can maintain a charge with battery tender? thanks

Interstate MTP 91 if you can find it. I believe that it is being discontinued.

Before I had my car delivered, Maserati of Sacramento installed an Optima SC34R AGM battery. It is hooked to a Ctek MUS 4.3 charger 24/7.

Guys, I just put a Braille Lithium (Model I48CE) in my 2010 997.2 GT3. It weighs 10lbs!!! It works fantastic but you need a purpose built trickle charge. DON'T USE THE FACTORY UNIT OR A CHARGER MADE FOR LEAD ACID BATTERIES.

I got a great deal from Advanced Battery Systems in Culver City, CA. I'm getting another I48CE for my 360 CS. Advanced Battery Systems -- Batteries For Everything!!. Telephone: 310/482-3799, ask for Steve. He gives Porsche Club, Rennlist and Ferrari Club discounts. I also picked up an Optimate Li Charger.

    Felice Anno Nuovo!

Great option, but $1,500.00 is steep.

    Great weight savings indeed.

Also my personal experience with Lithium Ion battery is not very good.
I put one in my BMW M5 and it almost burned my car to the ground.

Another guy I know put one in his M5 and it burned his M5 and declared total loss.

So just be careful with Lithium Ion batteries as they are very sensitive to proper charging procedures and must only use chargers designed for LiIon batteries.

Just do a google search about issues on Li Ion batteries.

    Dan,

Couldn't agree more. Expensive. Great weight savings and requires very careful use. I took the plunge but I'm also very careful. I got a Li specific charger and it has a bunch of IC logic to make sure that I don't cook the battery.

There is a bunch of info in here about the Odyssey 925 too! I am running this and have been for a year with no problems. Good charger (Granite Digital here) and routine that go along with it are key but it works great and is about 1/2 the weight of the full size monsters IIRC.

    Reviving an old thread.
My car (02' Modena) came with an Autozone Duralast Gold Battery H6-DLG Group Size 48 730 CCA. I just replaced it with the same model as a preventive measure. The one in there turned 5 years a few months ago. Always on a tender. Never had an issue. But for $159.99+tax , I figured I wouldn't wait for an issue to show-up... YMMV...

    I think that's a very wise decision.

Nothing worse and embarrassing than a Ferrari stranded, car wont start, and you cant really ask for a jump worried about possibly frying the electronics..........

    Thanks for sharing.
