We had one of these on the 488/458/F8 board which was very popular so I thought I would do one here now that I am driving the 812. So here goes. I went to the store this morning and parked at the end of the row and attracted some company as usual. The other one is from the marina a couple weeks ago.

Not sure if those adjacent non SLS/812 cars were there before or after. I always hope other drivers would sense that when a car is intentionally parked far away from all other cars and there are many open parking spots, it is the isolated car owner's wish for other cars to skip the adjacent parking spot.

one thing i have noticed is how hard it is to control coupe doors opening. in my F12 i have accidentally let the doors swing freely and if there was a car next to me i would have definitely hit it. so my advice is don't park next to 2 door cars.

If I see another car far off by itself I do not park by it whether it is a Ferrari or Kia. Just out of respect. I swear some people go out of their way to park next to nice cars. Maybe to show the owner they are not better than them?

Cars and Coffee event, we actually parked on the other side of the entire event, went for a walk, I came back and voila a huge crowd around my 812 and friends GT2RS.. not sure if this counts. I got a few more to share.

So I went to the store yesterday and took a pretty safe spot far away in a corner. The 991.2 tts was out there when I came out. It's a nice one. The paper plate said it was 2018.

Do y'all think it's okay to center the car along the parking line...basically parking in the middle of 2 parking spaces? Of course, that's only when there are tons of parking spaces around and when parked far away from other cars.

Although I get the idea and I agree that no harm is being done, I tend to believe this is actually more risky for your car. Some people will considered that you feel entitled and bash you for that, or worse, key your car or else. There is also the risk that the parking lot fills up and you end up looking like a jerk taking up two spaces. In my opinion, the best is to take a single spot, far away from most commonly used spots, and if possible at the end of a line where people can only park on one side of you. And I park as close to the edge as possible so that the other guy will have plenty of room to open his door without dinging my car. When in tighter spaces (and I am in Europe so they are common), as much as possible, I will park so that my front wheel is in front of the other car driver's door (generally longer than the rear doors, and you are sure they will open the driver's door) and then I will turn my wheel full lock in order to have my front tire sticking out, and be the first point of contact if the other car door had to touch my car.

    No. Never ok.

My wife and I always just park at a distance and walk a little further, whether it’s in the 812 or the F250.
