Hi, I am trying to determine the best way to remove the spring clip that holds the starter valve piston in place. I don't want to damage the carburetor because I am unsure of the best method to remove the spring clip from the carburetor body. Also, do these spring clips need to be replaced once they are removed. Thank you.

Mini slotted screw driver works. Keep you thumb on the clip when you pry so it doesn't shoot off to parts unknown. It is just a tension fit clip.

Thank you, I was able to remove it. I wasn't sure how much tension that clip had. I was surprised that it really wasn't as tight as I imagined.
