No sealant on oil and gearbox pan gaskets? Thx. Also, how much shop time do ship shaft seals require? I'll know what time to quadruple for DIY.
Where do the seals go? I am looking at the parts diagram and don't see. https://www.ricambiamerica.com/car-diagrams/ferrari/v6-v8/328-group/328-1985/gearbox-differential-housing-and-oil-sump.html?mode=split Also, why are most parts not even listed. Like 44, 45, 52.
Parts #5. https://www.ricambiamerica.com/car-diagrams/ferrari/v6-v8/308-group/308qv/outside-gearbox-controls.html Those are the sump pan nuts, washers, and a crush washer.
For the first time DIY, it's an all day job. Add an hour for every detent ball you drop on the ground and cannot find.
The trick with the detent balls & springs is to put a little blob of grease in each hole in the side of the transmission case, then shove the balls & springs up into the holes & the grease will hold them in place while you put the pan back on.
I can't find those pan nuts, washers, and a crush washer on any of the parts diagrams. They are there, but they aren't clickable or listed. Am I just looking in the wrong place?
