Thanks for the likes and replies! Here’s what was done:

    Powder coated:
    - entire plenum (air chamber)
    - air box
    - fuel rails
    - exhaust brackets
    - ignition coil brackets

Tip: All coated parts were soda blasted, not sand blasted as it is more gentle on the parts. Also send the parts to a reputable powder coating business that actually specialises in decorative automotive coatings.

    Painted:
    - throttle bodies
    - frames and brackets
    - exhaust heat shield
    - air intake hoses
    - all engine bay brackets & framework

    Cleaned:
    - Air mass sensors
    - all sensors & connectors
    - ignition leads

    Professionally cleaned :
    - all 8 injectors

    Replaced:
    - all oil hoses
    - all vacuum hoses
    - both top fuel lines
    - fuel filters
    - coolant hose (that runs from bottom of tank)
    - coolant cap
    - throttle position sensors
    - ignition coil packs
    - ignition coil sensors
    - plenum chamber gaskets
    - oil filter
    - air filter (with K&N)
    - replaced cats & cat sensors
    - replaced exhaust with tubi
    - every nut, bolt, screw & hose clamp was replaced with brand new factory nuts, bolts & screws.

Tip: Stay organised & take plenty of photos of each step. Bag and tag any small parts & write down any important notes. Take your time, it’s actually an enjoyable process.

Looks fantastic - great job, and all the more enjoyable for you to use the car knowing that pipes and mechanics are in fresh working order. Happy motoring!

Hi mate, no I did it all while the engine was still in the car. It would have been a lot easier with it out.

Fuel rails were originally a brass or copper from factory. I had them powder coated in gold. Quite happy with how they turned out.
