I came across an ad for this French firm in my latest edition of “Cavallino”. I thought it could be a good resource for any owners. I have no affiliation:

This company has been created by a former manager of redparts.fr, a french operation (still existing) looking like a smaller eurospares (they do not have as much stock as eurospares, but for french people they're more conveniently located, close to Paris).

That's his stock-in-trade, perhaps unintentionally because he himself is unaware it's a CGI.

Look into this thread. Plenty of pix. Switzerland required such a wing. Government was worried that in case of an accident pedestrians could be hurt or "suck into" too big opening between rear deck lid and rear spoiler (too high distance). Risk of decapitation. This special (additional) wing was created by then official dealership Symbol Automobiles SA of Matran (Walo Schibler).

Interesting info. So, 33 years after the introduction of the F40 we should have solid data on how many regular F40's have been invloved in pedestrian decapitations.

    Aren't governments great?

So all CH f40s were delivered with smaller wing and then original wing was fitted post delivery at the dealer?

    No.
In order to have an F40 registered in Switzerland one of the then official Swiss dealers (Walo Schibler's company Symbol Automobiles SA of Matran) invented a private solution with the middle-wing. Only with that additional center piece Swiss delivered F40's could be registered and became legal for road use. New F40s arrived in Switzerland with their standard rear wing but could not be registered.
See also my article in Cavallino magazine, ages ago (1992).
The car in these pix is #89875.

Thanks for the great info. Were any tests done to determine if performance was affected by the new wing?

I was wondering the same. I never knew this. I remembered hearing the wing was problematic in Switzerland, but didn't know a fix had been made.

Not seen a pic of an LM next to a road car before, I wonder why no wing shields on that example.

Another Swiss attempt to fulfill regulations and to avoid pedestrian decapitations.........
NOT done by factory but privately in Switzerland.

is that still necessary or has the law changed (as I see many legal japanese "wing" cars today). Also all F40's I have seen in Switzerland these days had the regular wing. Did they drive illegal?
