Me too. If it was a sunny day, I would say lets meet up and keep our social distance (it is outside after all), but cloudy and cool this AM.

Hey guys! Just wanted to check in and make sure everyone is doing well and staying healthy! Doing well here...even with my wife working in a hospital in Westchester, NY!

Unless I missed a post above are we still waiting for Craig to share his new toy??

Just for fun since Joe mentioned the Firebird...came across this old pic when I used the 'bird as a pickup truck when I was moving :)

So Jeanne and I were suffering form cabin fever today so we decided to do the "responsible thing" and go for a drive, socially isolated from everyone in the Cayman. So we took out normal drive toward NE Ct. So we are driving up 169 out of Brooklyn and Jeanne says, "Look at the deer." There is a field to the right so I figure she means a few deer grazing in the field. I look over and there are about 5 or 6 deer running just behind a stone wall to the right ahead of the car and we are closing fast. At that moment, there is a break in the wall and the lead deer decides it's the perfect place to cross. I hit the brakes hard and the deer cross in front of me, missing the left front by a short hair. Realizing the rest will likely follow, I hit the gas hard so #2 doesn't run into the side of the car and sure enough, in the rear view I see #2 cross just behind the car.

The moral of the story, stay safe, stay home. ;)

I though I caught this whole thing on my dash cam but when I reviewed it, I found the cam wasn't recording properly. Figures. But I will remember looking at the deer through the windshield eye to eye.

Glad to hear you are both ok, John. Kay and I had an almost identical experience a few years ago driving in the Noble, but we were on I95 when we had our close call. The deer that went right in front of us made it all the way across 4 lanes of traffic and cleared the center barrier and never got hit. With little traffic on the roads these days, the wildlife are probably thinking we humans all left town or,something. We have a small herd of deer that live on our property behind the house and they come out at night to graze in our grass. I enjoy watching them on our security cameras when they venture out and trip on the lights and cameras. Beautiful animals, but they can sure do a lot of damage if you run into one with a car.

I did some work on the wife’s car, then went for a ride in the 360. Light traffic, but more then last weekend for sure. Did about 50 miles. I’ll be heading to Long Island for work on Sunday night, so next week should be interesting to say the least.

Tomorrow the roads will be dry, the sun shining and the mercury hitting 63 degrees. Who is up for some fresh air in our usual spot? We can byoc (c is for coffee) and visit keeping 6 ft. apart. Mask wearers can wear masks and glove wearers can wear gloves. Dean can wear his red shoes. Your thoughts gatherers???

I'm getting claustrophobic. Looks like some car talk and a short 6 ft. gap is just what I need. Unless things change count me in.
How about the cars? Do they need 6 ft. gaps too?

I’m still in project mode here. How many remember when social distancing wasn’t cool?
