    Which book do you have?
The first one was the complete owners experience, Everyone is in that one.....That's the Bible of the 05/06 GT
    Happy your enjoying.

That's the ultimate one, stats fiquires, timelines, build changes.....
That book is 10 years old , Thank God we did it when everyone was still around. 90 percent of that info and paperwork would be gone by now.
Heck the buildings are even knocked down.
The second GT book has Rich B. and Denis B. as mechanics for our big trip. If that's who you were reffering to. They did a rear oil seal on vin 360 in less than 6 hours! as we were on our way across America to Leno in less than 3 days from New York!
Stay safe , enjoy the car.

Congrats and what a beautiful GT, especially with the carbon pieces you bought. One thing, and it is because I am incredibly OCD just like Shamile, please replace those god awful zip ties holding the Moton reservoirs with something better. There must be a better solution.

The only thing better than zip ties.......are more zip ties.

The only thing that bothers me about those is the heat making them break someday. But suggestions are welcome if you know of a better solution.

I just finished up one year of ownership of a 2005 Ford GT. Wow, what a car. I have made a transformation from a head buyer (due to my initial assessment of present and future value) to a heart owner (value is secondary).

The only service I have done on it recently was replacing the fuel filler unit (no more 20 minute gas stops). Still haven't installed the CF package I bought. I put 2,150 miles on it in year 1, which in a year where we didn't go anywhere was quite alot for me.

Everything the FGT owners said to me about the cars being very visceral, special to drive, and a joy to own has turned out to be true. I hope all of you can experience the American exotic some day.

This guy is a Youtuber and owner of Royalty Exotic Car Rentals in Vegas. He had custom forged wheels made to fit 355x25 R21 rear tires for his 1,000 hp GT. Plus fronts.
He made 10 sets (F/R). Available for $6,000/ set. (no affiliation or interest)

Great thread, thanks for sharing the details. I have a similar mindset about what I look for when car shopping. Do you have a similar story for your Diablo?

Yes, except it took longer (9 years instead of 6 years) because it took awhile to get really focused on the end goal. Also paid cash, with 75% of the purchase funded by overtime, extra jobs, a small bonus here or there.

Another similarity was buying just before a steep increase in pricing. Within 6 months prices rose 50% and is currently worth almost 2X what I paid.
