    Mine shows sign of wear... easy enough to remove from the steering wheel. But how do you remove the clear plastic insert? I'm tempted to "punch it out", but afraid it's glued in there and will damage the switch.

    Any thoughts?

    Alternatively I'd drill it out and either leave it open or find a piece of clear plastic to replace it.
