I was driving down the road in Portland one fine morning...when I looked over and noticed a purple Vector parked on a side street. Then I saw a Daytona GTS/4 and a Dino parked awkwardly on the sidewalk...a Miura here a Countach there...there were exotics spilling out of a non-descript warehouse door in a seedy part of town (Portland seedy...it’s a bit different and totally okay for Vector parking)... It was the top-secret(ish) Tonkin garage...they were getting something out of the back for the PDX Int’l Auto Show. That was the same year someone set a Lambo on fire trying to get the fuel below a quarter of a tank by starting it and putting a brick (or, more probably a latte) on the accelerator.
I did see on Facebook Jim Glickenhaus stating the Bizzarrini is a replica... Now I’m not getting in to what Jim thinks is real or fake...and my knowledge of Bizzarrins is poor...let’s ask Philippe Olczyk...or perhaps not... Here is the text from Glickenhaus’s post with his accompanying image: The net is a funny place. Google: "Million Dollar Bizzarrini Barn Find." Look at the photos and video posted. Ask yourselves a few questions. Is the chassis tubing round or square? Is the engine a gen 1 327 or an LS? RT hand or left hand drive? Why is the name "Diomante" stamped on the square tubing chassis plate? Read this link especially the part "Continuation Bizzarrini P 538's". Personally I don't think a replica Bizzarrini is worth $1,000,000 even if it's coated in 30 years of dust. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bizzarrini_P538 Image Unavailable, Please Login
The small number- 4?- of P538s were built by Bizzarrini in the 60s. The car in this video is one of several continuation cars built many years later by Diomante. It's not meant as a criticism of the man who made the video but he is factually incorrect- the value he ascribes is for an original but the car in the video is a continuation. Better than the Noble 'P4' next to it, but still, not a Bizzarrini. A Diomante.
the rear of that GTO is the real deal, here is the lower back end of one in The Bloodline collection for comparison...... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Im surprised no one here knows what the other car, next to the fake Bizzarrini, is. I emailed them but no one ever replied.
That is what he says but I am sure he is referring to the actual noble P4 we see earlier. See screenshots. I have never seen a Noble looking like that. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes that one is a Noble. Well known UK replicas. The car beside the Bizzarrini continuation is referred to as a Noble as well but it looks more like a Tom Meade creation. I'd be very surprised if that was a Noble as well.
Funny, if that is a real 288GTO it's way better a car for the video than the Bizzarrini. I mean it might even be worth more than a real deal P538...
More detailed video of almost each car. A lot of wrong info from the curator..AWD BMW 8er? Diablo Anniversary? 250 GTE Race car? I saw 3 Testarossa, one looked like a spider? I think at least 3 308 (GTB and GTS?) A lot of modified porsches (Gemballa, DP...). Too bad the camera man does not spend more time on the Ferraris
I'm told that the third building has the really good cars. Perhaps these videos should be titled "Don't Wash Mine"(apologies to the late Kirk F. White).
My guess is they're trying to promote the miracle factor of their products - Barn Find to Beauty In situ.
Number 54231 has the same side markers. https://ferraris-online.com/cars/1985-ferrari-288-gto-54231/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
what are chances this is Giotto Bizzarrini collection? there is so many replicas / kit cars and random engines and weird mismatches edit: ignore it now reading thread that Bizzarrini cars are not real.
Sheehan description is incorrect. 54231 has had several owners in Europe before McClenahan. Marcel Massini

It has a 400 (or Mondial) door handle. It's a modern Ferrari- probably a 400- with a 'custom' body. Not unlike one of the less-successful Coco Chinetti creations- except even less successful.
