Just waisting my time and looking through old pictures, thought would be cool to see how people in different countries started their car career? Maybe a non Ferrari thread is excused in these corona times.
This was my first, 11 years old. I am the big guy to left. 1952 Beetle i hot rodded with some paint.

This is a 1956 Skoda 455 maybe at age of 13. You can see how the Finns became descent rally drivers!

Bought it when i was 15. Drove it on ice and when 18 took my license with it. Still have it after 45+ years. Put in 1275 engine and disk brakes in late 70:s. Will get it back together one day...

1962 Studebaker Lark. Paid $35. I was 16 and drove it for 2 years then sold it for $35 at the wreckers. It burnt oil and the brakes were absolutely horrible. 8 track sound system.
My next car was a 1958 Triumph TR3

My very first car was a Citroen DSuper 5 (DS 21 carburettor, 5-speed manual) - it was 1982 and I was a student, these cars were cheap because not popular then... I liked the engineering in that car, eventually 2 years ago I bought another DS to fulfill my nostalgia:

Wow, that Lark is almost identical to my first car, a "hand me down" before my first actual car purchase. My Dad was a Studebaker guy, the '62 was the last as they were out of business when he bought his next car. Our '62 was a basic Lark with the only options being 3 on the tree with OD and a "Twin Traction" limited slip diff. Compared to your photo everything is the same (even the color) except for the deluxe full hubcaps and radio antenna. My Dad keep extensive records and it averaged 23 mpg over the life of the car until my brother ran it into a tree and totaled it.

My first actual purchase was a Morris Minor 1000 followed by a Jaguar XK-140.

Just a close photograph, not my actual car. I searched one out the same color as mine.
No options except 3 speed automatic, power steering and brakes

1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale. 455 under the hood. So large you could play football on the hood, baseball on the roof and soccer on the trunk at the same time. What a boat. Funny story. My buddy and I tried to replace the orginal car stereo but were unsuccesful because we couldn't get it out. We took the thing apart but finally decided that someone had a car stereo and then built a car around it.
