My OEM wheels need restoration from curb rash. I bought a set of 18" HRE 547s and mounted a new set of Michelin PS4s tires. Also got a set of Bradan straight pipes to replace the center resonator. Has a nice low end burble to it. She is coming out of winter napping and needs a bath but this is a first look at the HREs. Behind the shop so not the best of backdrops....

No front license plate in 19 US States (out of 50), but there are non-drill center mounts available here.

Carbonio makes a nice removable front plate mount. Spring loaded, pull and twist and it releases a j-hook from the egg crate front grill. Very convenient.

I have been lucky, neither New Mexico, where I lived for 36 years, nor Tennessee, where I have lived for 1 month, require front license plates.

Both Mass and now New Hampshire do. And it looks terrible on the front of this car. I'm glad of the easily removable Carbonio mount.

The difference is when being catched by a speed camera. In Europe most speed cameras shoot you from behind and take a photo of your rear plate. Then it is the owner of the car who get a ticket. In northern Europe/Scandinavia, the speed cameras shoot the the front to see which driver is driving. The ticket is sent to the owner of the car, but he have to confirm who drive the car, as it must be 100% certain which person was driving in order to give the mA fine/penalty or take your driver licence from you. So what many people do is just drop the sun visor down so the person is not visible in the picture. Then they can’t legally give you a ticket. Many have done this repeatedly and they get bosted in the end. The good thing with that system is that as a car owner, you can’t get a ticket for someone else’s driving with your car. (Just a side note). :)

Big brother is watching. We have some of those over here, too, but many of our spy cameras are red light cameras. Those catch folks who run red lights, most of which would be cured by extending the yellow light time.

My favorite Ferrari color. Perfect for me would have been a Giallo Modena HGTC with Cuoio interior.

Bummer, I'm assuming the front license plate is NOT by choice.

Chris at Exoticars may have a few sets of his repros still available. Pretty much indistinguishable from the real thing until you take one apart.

The diablo coast to coast is away more of an event. People come out of the gas station to gawk and drool, even if it's 4AM in Ohio. The 550 in classic silver is more stealth. The Diablo feels more like a hot rod, more dramatic, the 550 has more usable power and shoots forward like a private jet. She has Bradan straight pipes and Tubi so she's not subtle, but the Diablo with Quicksilver exhaust sounds like it's exploding when fired up. It's an animal. Love them both dearly. They both were eventually joined by their predecessors (87 silver TR and 85 white QV) and the comparisons are fun too. I need to do a proper write up someday. Plenty more pics of them and a pair of wicked guinea sport bikes @billpowered
