Track day fun - C8 vs GT3 RS https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/a32050983/c8-mid-engine-corvette-vs-gt3-rs-track-battle/ .
This thing looks pretty awesome in black.... I haven't seen that many made in black so far. A lot of white and red cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hard to believe this is a Chevy... pretty impressive. Body color painting the side scoop cleans it up a bit. Love the all tan interior.
Completely agree with the body-colored boomerang treatment. Wonder why they didn't make the boomerang part of the body in the first place instead of a "look at me" tack on? Next, get a better looking wing/spoiler.
Just being able to see to see the rear bumper of a GT3 RS in a base model is very respectable. And this 19 yr old kid gushing about his car is exactly what Chevy was looking for in the redesign. Interest from the 'next' generation.
Are they back in production or not? This article isn't sure..plus problem of waiting for your 2020 or just getting 2021 https://**********.com/2020/04/2020-corvette-future-development-put-on-hold-as-virus-lays-low-automakers.html
No production. GM said after April 15th but given the last Presidential directive until the end of the month it seems unlikely
Great looking aftermkt wheel available. Not a huge fan of chrome, would prefer painted silver or polished. And, no, definitely, NOT black. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The 458 wouldn't let him pass, he had to pull off to get some room. Guess the guy in the Ferrari's ego couldn't let him be passed by a lowly Corvette...
Seriously both the 458 and c7 aren’t making any friends. This car is starting to show the world what’s up. I got an unsolicited offer to buy mine- I told the guy cost to me plus $10K- he’s coming to look tomorrow, not sure I am willing to let it go even though I know I’ll trade it in for a Z06

I'll let you in on a little secret... I was at this track day (it was my first time at Willow Springs). The C8 guy was driving in the advance group. (he's fairly experienced at Willow Springs). His footage of following the 458 was his only footage in the advance group. The rest of the footage was when he dropped down to the intermediate group (point by passing with general novices at the track day). He basically has no footage of passing, keeping up with cars in the advance group.

I would consider trading in my Z51 convertible for a LT6 Twin cam with smaller displacement and no Turbos. IMO, I wish Ferrari would go back to this. The 458 engine is still my favorite V8 in the world.
