You must be right. That's why they sold so many and why all the journalists raved about them back in the day.

The GTB was probably what the TB should have been in the first place. It was apparently a much improved car in every way.
    Looks good too, IMO.

Is that what they called the upgrade at the end of the model run? Then yes.... Apparently much improved, but only in the suspension. The rest was still rubbish.

The engine was also upgraded and performance significantly better.
Also had the 2.7 Motronic engine management (same as early F355s), different exhaust etc.

    Yeah that would suck.

I’ll always like the 348 as that and the Testarossa are what sparked my love of Ferrari.
The GTB version is definitely the one to have. Quite a rare car. Pity they didn’t make an F1 version...

    355 was a huge leap.

Like comparing an old Beetle to a new one.

Yeah, but they needed Yamaha to show them how to design a cylinder head.

Ferrari - a company that defines hubris.

I always liked the strakes on a 348.

Looks like a mini Testarossa. IMO.

Yep, the 348 ( and Mondial T ) was Ferraris first and only use of a cable operated shift linkage, probably to reduce NVH in the cabin. They went back to a rod based linkage for the F355.

6 Vs 5 speed, much better shift action.
last of the 348s were better but a much bigger wheel/tyre package and wider rear track helped the 355 more.
