lovely colour combo. I would be tempted.. https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car/ferrari/599/2010/738642
I completely agree that Rosso Fiorano/Cuoio looks amazing on the 599. The Rosso Rubino 599 at tom hartley looks interesting as well. Are the 599 prices lower in the UK than in the US?
This car has been on sale for a while. Supposedly several owners. No clear service history. It is a beauty though.
One spot on the auction web site says $135,000 - $150,000. Seems optimistic given move to online, no apparent service history, and economic conditions. But many of their estimates seem quite high.
Feels like that was all of the money and maybe then some. That car had a history of sale in a bankruptcy auction, and no apparent service history that I could discern. From what I could tell, the sale price is significantly less than the dealer had in it.
I suspect standard 599s might be cheaper here and HGTE/etc might be more valued in the US. But that's just a guess as it's hard to know what sells for what. I think this car (its UK equivalent) may even have fetched more in the UK.
The late 599s are pretty rare in the US, only about 100-150 from 2009-2011 each year (plus~100-150 GTOs in 2011).
Here's another nice 599 HGTE for sale. Only 1000 miles, one owner. Similar spec to the FNE UK press car I drove in 2008. 130,000 euros. Seems reasonable. https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car/ferrari/599/2008/747643
Darius- That one is very nice and only $120K without VAT. My favorite Ferrari color and full HGTE upgrade apparently, since you can see the HGTE tailpipes.
Full HGTE upgrade ?? What about the seats ? For me it is a partial one and the price reasonable as Darius wrote, especially with 1100 miles, because it is a Middle East specs less appreciated in Europe. Personally I will be careful with a car which ran 1100 miles within 12 years.
Saw this car too, very nice spec. At the first sight a very nice car. But after some minutes, as Xavier wrote, the details speak against this car. Daniel
Xavier- The upgrade kits never included seats. Full upgrade is springs, rear anti-roll bar, exhaust, wheels, F1 TCU, Body/Shock ECU, and some trim.
You are right, I did read your post too fast. You mentioned "upgrade" and I thought "factory pack equipped" and for me it's a big difference !
HGTE was not available as an option until late 2009. In the US, MY 2010 was when HGTE became available
I hadn't looked into the ad enough to see it was a ME car. Boo - that would turn me off. Who knows what kind of sandstorms hit the car in its lifetime, and probably impossible to check its true history. That also accounts for the discounted price. I checked my notes and my HGTE FNE press car week was in February 2010, my bad. It was a lovely car, Giallo with black HGTE seats with Giallo stitching. Registration plate F1 HGTE (I wonder who owns that now?). I have some pix somewhere. I enjoyed it, but had been expecting a big difference over the standard 599, which it was not.
Darius- No changes to the engine or brakes, only handling and F1 shift speed. The difference between 85 ms and 100 ms min shift times would be lost on me.
Are you sure about the plate ? I had love to see your pix. I got in my data a "F1 GTE" Giallo Hgte in Uk but no "F1 HGTE". Today apparently no car in UK with these both registrations ( according to checkmyreg web site )
