I'm wondering what effect this motorsports shutdown has on the emerging talents who now have no way to prove themselves? We said this is the make-or-break year for Mick Schumacher. What if there are no races? All postponed to next year or show stopper?

¿Years? Someone developed a respirator built with a cheap Decathlon diving mask and 3D printed parts, so I suppose it can be made faster than that. Maybe the tests, homologation, etc... take years, but I suppose that in this situation they´re skipping that phase.
Everybody has stopped, so I suppose for Mick Schumacher it´s not going to make any difference. It´s a problem for those depending on sponsors.

Confirmation that Dr Evil is also a crank, fortunately stopped in his tracks this time. The development of herd immunity is not something that can be effectively or safely 'managed'. Young and fit count for nothing if an individual's underlying immune system is weak or compromised, including due to undiscovered genetic factors. And with evidence of transmission via asymptomatic individuals before and/or after their own illness, there would be no way of controlling who else might be infected following Marko's little experiment. The old time practice of 'measles parties' was limited to kids with strong immune systems and parents who were already immune thanks to having had the disease as children – clearly not the case here: it's not called a novel coronavirus for nothing. My wife is an allergy/asthma/immunology specialist and our next door neighbour is an ID specialist, both at Harvard teaching hospitals here in Boston, so I'm working from solid information here (unless you're one of those who thinks a few minutes on the web trumps twelve years of medical training).

Yes, and the government should have done this much earlier. Now there's 37 deaths IIRC here, all linked to chronic illness in the first place. The recovery is good too. If this is lesson, we all should be prepared all the time for anything.
