There is a white 458 at Toy Barn in Ohio that I am looking at. https://www.toybarncars.com/used/Ferrari/2013-Ferrari-458+Italia-ddcb38dc0a0e0ae84c7f6b0d874b9320.htm We have multiple exotics but this would be our 1st Ferrari. Any thoughts on the car? We are looking for a white, very low miles 458 coupe. Car has been for sale for a bit so not sure if someone on the forum may have looked at the car already. thanks
I really enjoy the black roof, is that from the factory (i.e. is it listed on the build sheet?). Very low mileage so thinking 20k off ask is too much but depends on how anxious they are to sell...these are in somewhat of a demand compared to the 488. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Also just read it has Opaco paint...please ensure you read on this as it requires special care...Just trying to help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The one you posted is a very nice extremely low mileage example. The ask price is fair given that mileage. Still, given the current “Corona” climate I would offer in the 170s and stand firm. Even if this one doesn’t work out don’t give up on looking. The 458 is epic imho. You’ll see once you own and drive it. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
Matte white is a rare color. If that is a color you really care about, then I would be willing to pay a bit more.
If you really have no worry buying at this crumbling economy, I would still offer $140k cash and see what happens. They will be way more desperate than you are. They may bite. Is the car wrapped? That is not avus at all. It's triple layer or just wrapped. Plus does the car have full history of repairs and maintenance, don't buy cheap ferrari as they may turn out very expensive later.
The build sheet says 3/4 layers paint. Anyone know what that means? No the car isnt wrapped. Its the factory paint.
This isn't the end of the world so offering something way less than market will just make you look bad and like someone who is trying to take advantage of a bad situation. Starting at 170 as others suggested is probably a fair place. I never understood trying to screw someone who might be in a jam - just not my style.
Too low an offer denotes lack of seriousness. Car looks great and any price under $180 would be very reasonable.
2400 miles in 7 years! That’s a travesty ... buy it and drive it ! Not a lot of CF but beautiful car, like the seats. Sent from my 16M
Exterior is killer, interior a very basic spec but at least has the LED wheel. People saying to offer 170’s are being optimistic. Car probably sells at 180 even in this climate but a 175 offer can’t hurt. The person suggesting 140k is wasting your time and the sellers, no chance. Well sure there’s a chance, if I go offer $750k to every Senna on the market, sure someone who is fleeing the country or is about to go to prison for a decade may respond...but that’s just ridiculous and offensive honestly, I’m guessing this person is reselling hand sanitizer while making 140k offers.
If they let that car go for $140K, I would be suspicious (or rather confident) that something is wrong with it. However, if it's perfect, at $140k, I would buy it as a spare to my 458
Please just be very aware of the details around matt (or in this case Opaco) paint maintenance and care. I have included some links to help but my suggestion is to do your due diligence on this to ensure you want to deal with the extra care required for a matt finish. https://www.detailxperts.net/blog/2016/01/04/car-paint-problems-5-things-know-matte-painted-cars/ https://www.autoevolution.com/news/how-to-take-proper-care-of-your-car-s-matte-paint-finish-114393.html https://www.drbeasleys.com/blog/2011/03/12/taking-care-of-matte-paint-finishes/ I hope this helps.
