Did you remove both side panels in the engine compartment? If not, do you think that would help?

I only do NOT recommend his sort of car battery, an AGM will do the job fine imo, like the oem version.

    Y E S !!

Removed it … quite simple IF you have a device that goes deeper in (any) ECU.

And my friend seems to have such a device … watch the Dreaded Green Wrench is GONE now …

He explaned that in some (IT) cars there seems to be a clock installed that counts back 365 days and then gives a sign.

He simply typed in 00 (zero - zero) days till next service … and it vanished.

So cheap OBDII software (like ELM etc) will never do the trick.

    HAPPY ! … YES !

I will chime in on this. I purchased a Launch X431 I car Scan about 3 years ago to use on my Porsche. I paid around 250 bucks. It is an orange rectangle with Bluetooth that plugs into the obd 2 port.

There is an App and it works on iPhone. It has the functionality to clear the green wrench. It also has special test and live data for a lot of systems. It reads transmission and even will read and clear air bag codes. (I turned the key on with a bag unplugged and needed to clear the code).

I was going to buy a launch tablet version for the F car and on a whim I tried this one right before i purchased one and I was surprised.

For reference this is what I got. Mine came from amazon but I see it is no longer available from them. Search around as I see them still for sale other places. As I remember the software download comes from an app that you install. It has worked well for me over the past 3 years.

Gonna buy it right now! Thanks!

I am having some weird issues on the Cali, sometimes it is limited to 3500/3800 RPMs, no lights then if i turn off the car and then ignite again the limitation disappear... anyone knows what could be?

    Thank you!

    Hi guys,

After buying two OBD devices and having no luck, can someone confirm that the Launch X431 iCarScan worked for clearing the service light on their 458?

    Thank you for any help,

    Ant

The one I posted above cleared the green wrench. I did not follow through and see if it went to a blank date or reset it for a year.

    Brakepads ..

Who is able to make a DIY write-up here for renewal of front pads please ?

I may have to do that soon, I have the pads already in the front trunk in case the light will show that it is time :)

And tell what tools were needed, f.i. how to get the brake cilinders back ...or just open the bleedingscrew ?

Did this last year on rears before a track day as they were looking too thin to last safely. Pretty easy. Aside from usual safety procedures in jacking up car and removing wheels, the pad process just involves driving out the pins with a suitable diameter brass punch. This releases the springs on top of the pads. Remove them and the wear sensor.
Spread pads carefully so they’re loose, and pull them up and out. No need to remove the calipers. Don’t open the bleed screw unless you want to bleed the brakes. Be sure the brake reservoir cap is open and you have removed some fluid before the next step so it doesn’t gush over and make a mess. But don’t remove so much you uncover the bottom of the reservoir or you will introduce air into the system.
Once old pads are out, just use a piston spreader to retract them. I used this Girodisc tool because it’s easy (but expensive). Pop the new pads in, the springs, sensor, and carefully line up and drive the pins back in. You will feel them seat by the change in feel and tone of tapping them back in.
Throughout, be careful not to nick the rotors! As with any other safety item, if you’re not sure you can do this, get expert help or have it done by a pro.
