Now that’s low but designed and engineered to be low for handling on track. I would not trust the air-ride suspensions for any performance driving, road or track. Plus, who the heck would buy one of these used unless it was at a substantial discount - like salvage discount? People ***** about non-stock stereos!

I'm a firm believer in doing what makes you happy as long as it does not hurt others. "Stancing from everything I see is just that, people love it and they share their creations with like-minded folks." We need more happiness in this world.

So while it isn't my cup of tea - more power to them and the community that enjoys it.

It's true that air suspensions can improve not only utility but performance, so no debate there. However, to say that is performance gains are to be had for the typical stanced car, is a stretch.

The typical rims used are ornamental in nature and are often at odds with the optimum size. Also, stanced cars more often than not have other visual modifications that add weight and drag both inside and out.

Again, based on my opening statement, this is not meant to be an attack, criticism, or shade at the community or look. I'm happy for them, and I think an enthusiast will be first to acknowledge they do it for the aesthetics first, and 'tracking' it is losing the point entirely.

If you can't afford the car, why would you sell the springs?

what a waste. The car has been specifically designed to be a performance car and to handle; You then go destroy that?! Why?

any block head can lower a car; only a handful of people in the world could improve the handling of a f50.

but each to their own! Put your baseball cap on backwards, hang the medallions around your neck, cruise the strip and be a spectacle

    Don't for get the classics...

In all seriousness, I think most of these pictures on this thread are renders, as has been said a few times, so no actual cars were harmed. As a design exercise it has a certain appeal for a "look." In the real world it is awful and would make the car unsafe/undriveable I would think.

Those renders give me the impression that the "slammed" movement is the current Derp! Generation's version of the old Rat Fink cartoons and the like.

I've come to the realization that PhotoShop is a wonderful thing:
You can really f#@k-up a car, without affecting the actual car.
