First of May is approaching “relatively” fast and I’m hopeful that I can get the 550 and 328 back from hibernation/ winter storage as planned. Not so sure today...

Sure I’m not the only one that’s wondering if that will be possible...

Frankly, I’d rather stay in lockdown longer (in Austria) and keep my family safe and get this virus under control, then rush it.

Just the same, to keep me motivated I’m getting pics from my mechanic Ernesto today showing me that the cars are alive and well relaxing with their other four wheeled buddies.. I even got a full polish on the 328 and a bottle of Ferrari Prosecco is waiting for me..

    Any similar pics?

But i'm lucky because my 550 is in my garage soooo I thought no traffic I live a few hundred feet from Mulholland Drive I am able to get my car take a wonderful drive along Mulholland Drive back to my garage with a big smile on my face :) the entire time I am sheltered in place in my 550 !

My normal monthly Drive to Las Vegas of course has been canceled the entire town is shut down but this still gives me time behind the wheel.. Remember I have to get 100,000 miles :)

How far off is the 100.000th mile?

I’ve yet to spend any quality time in LA so Mulholland Drive hasn’t happened yet either. I’ve heard the name but forgive my ignorance. Is this something to see / add to the list?

    Great thread!

We must keep the mood up. This crisis is going to be a big one. Erik and Enzo are in France at Villefranche-sur-Mer. Here everyone should be home, but you are allowed to go out if you really have to. We need to fill out and sign a document stating where we are going and why. One paper for every day... Most people are in, but I need to walk Enzo the dog two-three times per day, so we get plenty of fresh air. The 550 is under its red cover and sleeps. I will be getting two new Cargraphics Fuchs rear mufflers with flaps soon If luck is on my side. They were sent from Germany today. I have no idea when or if they will arrive. Most borders in Europe is strictly closed, but goods are allowed to be sent from what I understand.

Stay safe and take this very seriously.

Keep the posts going. Thanks for making the thread. Will be interesting to follow for sure!

You are definitely right that we need to keep the mood up!
All you see is bad news now.
It is indeed very serious and I think / most will treat it that way that have a brain in their head.

But it’s our mutual passion for enjoying this amazing brand that will help to keep us from losing it.
I have no plans to let it get me down..

I even took the 3D pen out tonight and felt inspired enough to make some Scuderia Sculpture...
If I can drive them yet, I can at least feel a little closer to it..

    No, they can't do that.

We are, Bill. Operating rooms are only available for emergencies. We're taking recommended precautions in my office.

    Stay safe.

Wow! How sleek the 550 is compared to pedestrian friendly designed cars...

Here in North of Italy the situation is really serious, last drive was 4 weeks ago, and after that...a lot of TLC with waxes, leather conditioners, etc....

    Stay safe!

    Paolo.

I can imagine how difficult it must be for all Italia at the moment. At least it looks like your strategy is starting to have an impact.
I hope it gets better faster.

I work with many companies in Northern Italy and many friends and colleagues are affected by this.
    Take care!

    Thanks Jason!
It's absolutely surreal to see the empty towns...but playing down a little this situation...it's surreal to have free time, sunny days...and the 550 sleeping into the garage...o_O

Some pics from The French Riviera... Here you see all kinds of cars. From old French Renaults and Peugeots and many Italian rare cars like old Lancias and Fiats to Bugatti Chiron and everything in between. Because there is never any salt, and sun 300 days a year, cars can last a very long time!

I have been so much home the last days and gone through thousands of pictures in the archive. I found a picture of my 456 too! That car was really a great ride. Daytona Black metallic with Verde (green) interior. It still have the record from Stockholm to Oslo.....

    Stay cool :)
