    You do need the stock exhaust for Classiche etc, but the F40 really comes alive with a sports exhaust or LM pipes.

    I have no doubt about that. Still, at least for me, there’s a real pleasure in maintaining a cars purity, beyond just its sound. Just an opinion. To each their own.

    Likely hasn't moved in nearly 30 years. Engine internals probably haven't seen fluids for that time as well. Engine is likely full of grit and all the rubber bits are brittle. Need to take apart every piece: engine, tranny, electricals etc - clean every piece twice - then put it back together with a truck full of replacement bits. Oh, and the tires and gas tanks have timed out. This is going to be one giant lego. I hope whoever takes on this project documents the progress like the Bradan restoration.
