No sound. Might as well have been a 720s.

If you actually value a car that drives well and gives great feedback, with great ESC tech, the Pista is a wonderful car. It might sound different than a 458, but it is in very conceivable way a better and more exciting car. Sure, it is not as loud, but so what? That might be interesting if all you do is rev it at stop lights to be seen and cruise up and down city streets pissing everyone off. If you're a driver and value a nice car, the Pista is that car, nothing boring about it what so ever. I don't care what anyone says. Anyone who think the Pista is boring, is not a driving enthusiast. If you want some great Pista feedback, ask a guy like Shadowfax about it. He DRIVES the wheels off his cars. His GT3RS, GT2RS and Pista probably see more track mileage per car than many 458 owners put on their cars on the road.

For me, nowhere near as exciting to drive in the 99% of where I drive, which is not track.

Don’t get me wrong, it is a brilliant car! Just not for me.

I remember at one point there were a ton of Speciale on the market for sale and people thought they were going to tank. There are differences this time, we are in tough economic times, etc.

The Speciale was also priced with some "restraint" by Ferrari, while for the Pista they pushed the price up as much as they dared - so much so that from the start, the Pista faces a more demanding challenge (or in other words, its price has more room to fall).

All of this discussion of Speciale over Pista over whatever is silly. Everyone has their own subjective tastes. Some will prefer a CS over everything, some a Speciale, some a scud, others a Pista. When the right person finds the right car they will pay. Drive your car whatever it is, in the end it really isn't that special no matter what you want to believe.

    Why Pistas are not selling?

Well, with so many uncertainties, if things continue to evolve the way they are, a pista could be sold not only on sale, but on clearance not too long from now.

I am sure many will simply wait for the right opportunity.

besides that cash right now is king.

One in a lifetime type of opportunity for long term investment, emphasizing the long!

best of luck to all, fighting this thing!

Let’s do our best on social distancing, enjoy precious time with our family, continue to support, pay some of the people who provide services to us and are not able to work right now.

We will come stronger, let’s help each other!

    Peace!

Sounds irrational- wld have been better off using a credit line and taking time to get a more normal price.

Many folks above mentioned the Pista vs. 488 number produced. Does anyone know how many 488s were produced?

Clearly, the stock market and the virus, is dominating the discussion on this forum. Negativity about Ferrari in general and the F8 and Pista specifically, abounds, with the focus shifting to price and depreciation. Personally, I have never been as excited about the latest Ferrari offerings as I am now. I eagerly await my delivery of the F8 as it is stunning as it is compelling. The Pista embodies virtually everything I long for in a super car. The only competitor is the 765, which undoubtedly will be a special car with differing attributes. These cars are meant to enhance our enjoyment of life and especially during macro conditions over which we have no control. I would like to hear more driving experiences from F8 and Pista owners and less about depleting car values.

My guess is 15,000 to 20,000 (GTB and spiders together); the production has been 4 years (more or less Q4 2015 to Q3 2019, with probably very few produced in Q3 2015 and Q4 2019) and typically the mid-engine V8s account for half of the total production.
