The stroke difference between the 641 and the F50 is huge. I am surprised they were able to do it with the same deck height unless maybe it had spacer plates installed and that would become an issue with torsional rigidity I would think. Next time I see it I'll have to see if that was done. Its not like they made F1 blocks any bigger than needed. I am really surprised considering how many differences there are.

001 is very much a 'rough' test bed, there were holes and cutouts made throughout the body and interior during testing. I think the were just looking for proof of concept with that car. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if there were long term issues that would crop up, you would know far better than I. When the car was delivered at customs, according to the caretaker, it was in very rough shape. it needed a lot of work to make it trackable again.

That's unfortunate to hear. I wish it kept its originality.

Why hasn't any owner of an FXX-K asked for that ?

True, but the Porsche is very ugly compared to the F50 GT

First of all it would need to be eligible for a racing series and then it would need to receive enough orders to make financial sense

Why should it be eligible for racing series ?! What about if the owner only wants to race it on a track in weekends, not in any competition ?
And second of all, can't they build a one-off for a customer that is willing to pay for it ?!?

This doesn't make sense. If someone "races" a car on their own, they are just tracking the car, they are not racing. You are just arguing for the sake of arguing now.

I wasn't arguing. English isn't my first language, so by racing I meant tracking, thanks for saying that.
Anyway, why can't they build a one off for a wealthy customer ?
If I had the money, I'd buy one.
