Brawn (as the head of F1) came out and declared that the races in May are questionable. He also said they are looking into moving some races into the summer break. Good idea.

Furthermore they are thinking about making F1 GP weekends just 2 day affairs thus allowing them to schedule races back to back. Good idea to stage some races but for me personally a nightmare: Fridays are my fav F1 days at the track as there are much less people/restrictions and plenty of action. I would hate to see the Friday practice days go away, but hey, such is life this year.

Even if the season starts in June, I cannot see how they can re-schedule on the calendar the races that have been postponed.

Either way it's a bastard nightmare, and a reality check that we take things for granted, my other half works in a major supermarket, and she is having to stop folk over buying toilet rolls ect, and is getting some serious flak over it, the ugly face of greed ...Ive had my fill of it already.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
    Martin Luther King, Jr.

Lot of people showing their true nature in these times.

Fortunately, not all have been found wanting.

I think the fly-away races are a lost cause. But Euro GPs could probably squeezed into the summer break. So there might be a late Monaco, Barca and Zandvoort.

Bar restaurants museum libraries shops (except food and medicines) are closed. Factories can go on, with safety criteria. Ferrari was one of the very last to decide stopping

Yes. Countries would be foolish not to learn from both positive and negative lessons from others who've dealt with COVID19. But, people seem to like to make their own mistakes when dealing with crises.

The season starting in June is the best way to keep Lewis from reaching 91 Race wins this year.
It may be the only way.....

Korea has been very transparent, and the most exhaustive in terms of testing if this professor doesn’t buy into the China numbers. The fact he made no mention of Korea, makes me inclined to believe he is either highly prejudice (discrediting asia and the middle East at wholesale) or compelled to incite panic for the sake of some spotlight.

Also, the 25-50 unreported for every reported case sounds about right, but that holds true for every major outbreak, so if Korea and China can recover like they have in 3 weeks, then that bodes well for America.

My doctor friends, as grim-sounding as it is, say this sort of pandemic can make careers for people in the field.

It seems that the virus may have a very tight temperature and humidity component. Almost all of the cases are between 30-50 latitude and an average temp of 5-11 degrees C. Among the hardest-hit cities, Wuhan, Seoul, Qom, Milan, Seattle have been at almost exactly the same temp and RH form December to March. This raises the hope that there is a significant seasonal.

You could have easily picked my other post which referenced what Osterholm talks about as well, cytokine storms,
which is what's causing the deaths.

Blaming China, Italy or whatever is nonsense.

Bring on the hybrid reality races for situations like this. Should be part of the sustainability strategy.
