Without doing any of that stuff you already are dead..... :D
Sorry you are dead wrong. A person traveling to an F1 race is 0.00000001% of the people moving around the planet on any given day for any given reason. If I listened to you ever person in the world should stay home for the next month "because". That's just ridiculous. This is not a zombie attack.
Houston just scrapped 11 days of Rodeo, ($$$$$$$$$$) and our Tour bicycle race, as well as ANY City Permitted events, killing Saint Patrick's Parade also, joining Boston and Chicago. Cases now outside any travel conditions, so "it's here" on the street. As everyone notes it' "mild to asymptomatic" in healthy people, but it can trigger another condition, usually fatal. And old folks or depressed immune systems are toast.... Not playing....just stay home. Bed count (and respiratory equipment) are indeed the bottlenecks.....
You didn't understand the issue or it was my fault not explaining it more clearly. Traveling is not the main issue here, the big issue is BIG GATHERINGS. There are 128 confirmed cases in Australia, which means there are a lot more people out there with the virus WHO DON'T KNOW YET. Just a few infected guys on the grandstand are sufficient to cause a local outbreak. The World Health Organization declared it as pandemic not for no reason.
I see it more like we have each other by the balls. EVERYONE IS CONNECTED TO EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING ELSE. It doesn't matter where/who/what the origin is, it's not a one way street in current day.
Three are already possible candidates on the F1 teams. The cat is LONG out of the bag already long ago. When Australia shuts down every person coming and going into Australia let me know. Until then, stopping F1 teams and fans is just ridiculous to think its going to have any impact. Its coming. End of story. https://www.planetf1.com/news/mclaren-haas-coronavirus/
My opinion is this: not everyone in contact with someone carrying the coronavirus gets contaminated. Not all people contaminated gets actually affected by it, but they may pass it on. And not all the affected people dies from catching the virus, the majority recover after treatment. It all depends from the individuals' resistance to pulmonary infection. Also, people with respiratory issues are more prone to be severely ill, or die from some form of pneumonia in extreme cases. That means people with chronic bronchitis, asthma sufferers, and yes ...SMOKERS !!!

Good call IMHO Trump restricts 'all travel' from US to Europe starting Friday Trump said the administration would restrict “all travel” to the U.S. from Europe, which is reeling from the epidemic, for the next 30 days. The United Kingdom will be exempt from the new limits, which Trump said will go into effect on Friday at midnight. “These restrictions will be adjusted subject to conditions on the ground,” the president said of the European Union travel curbs. Italy has been hit the hardest, with more than 12,000 confirmed infections and more than 800 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University data. France, Spain and Germany each have about 2,000 confirmed cases. Trump said there would also be travel restrictions from Europe for Americans "who have undergone appropriate screenings." The administration has already restricted travel from China and Iran. Trump has repeatedly trumpeted his early move to limit travel from China, saying the decision saved lives. Experts say it likely slowed the arrival of the virus in the United States. - Deirdre Shesgreen https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2020/03/11/trump-address-nation-over-u-s-response-coronavirus-pandemic/5022464002/

Yep, definitely slowed the spread from China to the US. Ban on large gatherings in SF/Santa Clara/Seattle and all 65 March Madness games to be played without any fans are extreme but necessary measures to contain the virus. Now it's spread to the Vegas strip at a conference with over 1000 people at Mirage Those "all you can eat buffets" with everyone handling the same utensils LAS VEGAS – Three new coronavirus cases in Nevada include a New York woman in her 40s who attended a large conference on the Las Vegas Strip. The hospitalized patient attended the Women in Power Summit from March 5-8 at the Mirage. She had had been exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 during her travels to Las Vegas, according to the Southern Nevada Health District. The health district said it is working with the Mirage and organizers of the summit to inform attendees and identify people who came in close contact with the individual. There were more than 1,000 registered attendees. Officials are investigating if the woman visited any other properties on the strip https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/hotels/2020/03/11/coronavirus-patient-attending-las-vegas-conference-mirage/5025329002/

World Figure Skating Championships in Montreal, scheduled for next week, was cancelled today. Around 10K people would have been in attendance, at least half from overseas. Guess where figure skating is most popular in the world? Japan, China, S Korea, Italy!! (and USA, Russia, and Canada). On a more related note, I read a report that the Vietnam GP will be postponed or cancelled. https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/vietnam-grand-prix-carey-covid-19/4740849/ (essentially, the story says) "Chase Carey detoured to Vietnam on Wednesday for crisis talks about the race. The odds of it going ahead are diminishing rapidly" Re Italian team members not being able to travel to Vietnam after Bahrain due to the 2 week quarantine requirement in Vietnam for travellers from hot spot countries - if the team just stayed in Bahrain or an intermediate non-hot spot country between the two races, rather than going back to Italy, the quarantine would not have applied. Easy solution... if the race is held. What are the odds that COVID-19 case loads have lessened enough for the European grand prixs to be held? How about Montreal in June? That's only 3 months away, and COVID-19 is just starting to ramp up here. I'd say that Netherlands, Spain, Monaco will be cancelled or held without spectators. I haven't heard about the coronavirus status in Azerbaijan. France couldn't be held with spectators with their current bans, I don't know about Austria or Great Britain. That only takes us 4 months out...
Seems like Liberty are negotiating with local promoters on a race by race basis in an effort to keep the circus on the road. If they gave a damn about peoples health the whole lot should be postponed,it's bordering on criminal, and at best irresponsible to keep pushing to ensure they get their pot of gold.
