Maranello- 9 March 2020- " As is known , on 8 March the Italian government approved a new law in which more preventative measures were introduced for the areas most affected by the COVID19 which is impacting Italy, whilst still allowing for continued working activity.

Maranello is also part of these territories.

Ferrari has activated all of the measures necessary to allow their employees to conduct their working activity in the best possible conditions and therefore at this moment in time, confirms its operational continuity. This continuity is obviously subject to that of our suppliers with whom we are in constant contact.
Ferrari remains in ongoing discussions with the authorities and is ready to adapt its security measures with regards to the evolving situation in the knowledge that the safeguard of the health and wellbeing of its employees is of absolute priority."

Production time will be a little over the map depending on your build. Drson's F8 Tributo production cycle has pretty much gone as planned.

Did you end up adding any special order items to your build? There are some special order items that can delay production but others that are not a big deal. Giallo colored inner details would be an example of a special order item that is not a big deal whereas special order paint can sometimes slow production down.

Feel free to send me your specs and I would be happy to give you an idea on which options may slow down your build. As your car has likely not gone into production you should be able to change your order if your biggest concern is getting the car as soon as possible.

Tom, so how affected is the current factory production? I’m assuming it will get slightly worse until it’s contained or a vaccine comes around.....

FWIW, in France the expectation is that first deliveries will happen in June - so clearly the US have the priority now, not sure why.

I just received word my car is due at Algar within the hour. I was at status 90 on January 20th so a little over 7 weeks for those impatiently waiting. I’ll post pics as soon as I get them.

As of now, we are not seeing any delays in the shipping of cars that have been completed and we are seeing production changes from week to week that show cars are still being built. I have been interacting with the factory a few times a week and as of now, everything is status quo for the time being.

It was locked down sometime in Oct/Nov. So assume 6 months in total when Locked down. With Coronavirus, could be longer.

For those of you not showing a VIN in the my Ferrari app, when you think it should, I've noticed the app is very temperamental. My sometimes shows, sometimes it doesn't. Here's what I do to make it show.
    1.Terminate the app completely.
    2. Load the app and wait. Don't select anything until my waiting list section is populated.
    3. Now, wait a little more, say 30 seconds.
    4. Now select your F8 from the list and it should appear.

It seems that if you interrupt the app whilst it's pulling data from the Ferrari servers it doesn't recover and simply shows blank data.

    Hope this helps someone.

I'd rather have the car than just the VIN. Jealous. Enjoy!
