Thanks for all the interest! With the offers received thus far I’m lowering the price to move her along to the next home. I appreciate people are wanting a good car and also wanting to feel like they are getting a great deal. $157,000 obo. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Mike No way would I ever allow you to change that perfect car. There will be a buyer that is looking for exactly what you have. Just because I am not a fan of the light interior does not mean that there are not hundreds of people that are looking for exactly that. The car was so perfect though that I am wondering if I would be able to find another that is as perfect with the same history and documentation. Where are you in SD? I am in Carmel Valley. I might have to check it out again and possibly drive it. You can PM me. Thanks Brian
Wow! The auction results must have been good. What did that car sell for? This car appreciated 30 grand in one week so the results must be good. For what it's worth, I still think Mike's car is worth more than 189k. It is perfect.
It’s quite a different car though- classiche, well sold for sure . A yellow one sold there for 160k, good numbers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just for clarification the $229k was the price paid at Amelia Island auction for a 93 10k mile car. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Sold Thank you to everyone for all the positive comments and good humor. I love this site. Moderators can you please update this thread as Sold? Short backstory as to how the TR came up for sale. Was looking for something new to replace the 13 California and found a 18 488 spider that I traded at Jakes Motorcars local here I San Diego. Shout out to Jake and his staff. It’s my fourth transaction with them and I can’t say enough how authentic they are. I highly recommend them! So the wife was a little disappointed with the comfort in the 488 compared to the Cali. We regularly take 2 hour road trips up the coast or to the desert. Knowing the 488 isn’t a GT she had a valid concern. So we have this 512 that usually I just drive local A-A that I’ve only added 2500 miles in 5 years since it’s my baby. Stays covered on the lift most the time. Hmmmm Maybe I could sell that and buy another GT car that we could actually use. I knew I would regret the sale but it isn’t really being used. Always loved the 599’s and just so happen the local Ferrari dealer had a beautiful black on black 10 HGTE on consignment. Basically worked a deal over texts and the car was mine. I also highly recommend San Diego Ferrari. Scott in sales and Nick in service. Top notch! The 599 is awesome and already added cat bypass test pipes and remote control valves. Now it’s proper! So yes then I HAD to sell the 512TR. The drive to the dealer for it’s PPI and delivery to the buyer was a tough one!! I love that car. I hope to acquire another one someday when I have more space and money. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Congrats Mike... If I had the space, we would have done a deal as I miss my TR and I am sure you will be back looking for one sooner than you think. 488 & 599 are combo, enjoy them in good health buddy.
