The Motorama car is interesting with its hood surface below the fenders. Harley Earl was noted for wanting "power dome" designs.
Looks as though Caddy is fully embracing a new design language, a return to names vs. alpha numerics, and electrification. I've always loved the Caddy concepts, and the media present (Road & Track, Car & Driver, Peter Lorenzo, etc) at GM's global ev day seems to be quite impressed with what were apparently two extraordinary close to production vehicles; a sedan and suv. A very near future hand-built-halo and technology tour de force Cadillac? Sounds promising, anyway. http://www.autoextremist.com/on-the-table1/
I guess I've been living under a rock too long.....a couple of these Hot Wheels cars show SO much more creative thinking than this years Ridler cars.........(okay, overlook the craftsmanship thing.......) I had a big briefcase kind of thing that held around forty Matchbox Cars. Every slot was full. All the cool ones from about 1966 to 1971. Lost it in a move somehow. The Ford GT was my favorite.
Here is a retake on a golden oldie ad for your amusement and entertainment this dreary morning. Not an endorsement by me- I contend these folks have lost their mojo.
Ruf rodeo concept Porsche. I wonder what kinds of ways Ferrari's could be reimagined. -F https://www.designboom.com/technology/ruf-rodeo-concept-porche-911-rally-car-03-10-2020/?utm_source=designboom+daily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=RÚF+automobile+unveils+off-road+rodeo+concept+inspired+by+cowboys Image Unavailable, Please Login
Don't know if this has been posted yet. New Aston Martin V12 Speedster. https://www.businessinsider.com/aston-martin-v12-speedster-million-dollar-supercar-full-specs-photos-2020-3 Love the "golden spiral" treatment of the passenger compartments! I find the use of the entire hood panel as a scoop interesting; pretty meh on the rest. not a fan of these pseudo "speedsters". Ferrari's done a couple, Jag & Bentley as well. If the DB4 was the "gentleman's express" these are "dilettante's express"...
Gemballa took a stab at an offroad/adventure 911, too. Izzy, look away! https://robbreport.com/motors/cars/gemballas-porsche-911-off-roader-2904762/
I'm not sure that word sees much in use in Gemballa HQ... "If less is more, just think about how much more MORE is!" (Or, if you prefer: "there is no kill like overkill")
