Black is the best and chrome will take you back to the 1980's LOL.
No no, I meant that the argument for choosing black wheels to hide brake dust is nowadays not really something that holds weight since these cars produce no dust. I love CCBs and think they're great.
Break dust is why but we have ceramic break so that argument doesn't stand Sent from my CLT-L09 using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Last I checked the CCB are what the rotors are made of but the pads are not and do wear with time creating dust just not as much as steel rotors Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Very good point, I still didn't find much dust though but I really only use the one I have atm for a small amount of driving and don't really stomp on the breaks much, the old one I took on track and used much more Sent from my CLT-L09 using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Completely agree. People pay good money for a unique and expensive wheel design - and then they make it invisible... Looks like crap and super cheap imo. Black wheels, especially matte black wheels, looks like holes in the side of the car. Always makes me think of some clapped out Civic dith cheap Chinese wheels. Alcantara? Sure. If you want the interior to feel and look like office furniture out of the local small architects office. Aniline leather is very exclusive. Alcantara is per definition anything but. The rotors are Carbon Ceramic Matrix, or CCM. There's very little actual brake dust. Yes the wheels get dirty, but mostly from what also makes the rest of the car dirty. The different compounds used for both disc and pad, means that you don't get iron based dust like you do with regular brakes. For this very reason, wheels on our cars with CCM brakes, are easily cleaned with regular auto shampoo. Brake dust on CCM setups is not a good reason for black wheels. alcantara is basically ultra-suede for your car i don't care how much better it breathes or how much better grip you get... you got fooled by marketing manipulation do you really enjoy sitting on those carpet vacuum cleaner patterns? do you overlook the dirt and lint while your body is gripped 0.006% tighter going around those hairpin turns? i bet you spent that extra 30k for carbon fiber interior trim pieces too... you'd be better off going on a diet if you want true weight savings in the car (full disclosure i spent 45k on carbon fiber on my 458 spider so i'm guilty as well)
Black wheels are the best! Not ghetto at all! All my cars have black wheels except my M6 Gran Coupe that looks good wih silver. Even wifes Range has black wheels Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I understood. I get brake dust all over my wheels and have CCB's. Am I mistaken? It looks like regular brake dust  .
Generally I prefer black wheels to silver. The ones I normally hate are gold though, but anything can work on the right car. For example, even blue wheels on the right car.
I do like black rims (if its done nicely) but I feel so sorry for everyone with black matte. This is sooooo yesterday.
No way man I still love the looks. My wife's Range Rover above is called satin matte black that has more of a shine to it. I prefer that much more than my flat black on my Ferrari FF. It looks so badass rolling down the road on the right cars.
I wonder if you guys are this aggressive about hating a certain look to the car owners in person? Or just online?
well i was looking for an explanation not a silly statement that certain people like certain things. that's understood. as you see i explained my reasoning for NOT liking them. why don't you explain why you do? does it make you feel a certain way? are you trying to emulate something you admire? from a design standpoint it makes no sense since you lose the detail and size of the wheel. cars were designed with wheel arches and to not have anything visible in those wheel arches doesn't make sense at all.
Generally speaking, shiny wheels look a bit blingy. The dark grey and black look aggressive and stealth. Some color combos do look good in silver. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
