Who’s going to the Ferrari meet this Saturday 3/7/2020 at griots garage in Tacoma? for those who don’t know the meet will begin at 8am this Saturday at griots garage in Tacoma and will go on until 10am for the cars and coffee. Hope to see you guys there. I will be in my Grigio gated 360 Modena.
If the past is any indication, get there early. The last time I went I got there around the alleged start time and it was a free for all. It was marque specific, but that didn't mean anything. There was nobody monitoring parking and what cars were in or out so it was basically a traffic jam of people cruising around in a circle looking for a parking space. I couldn't find a space as it was packed. Except for a few open spots that were being held by friends waiting on their friends. I remember one available spot was being held so they could have their 3 PT Cruisers in a row. What a joke. I do like their products, but I think I will pass on their cars and coffee madhouse for now.
Generally have to agree; last "Italian Day" included about 5% such cars. Of greater concern is Griots total lack of lot supervision. I've seen some pretty dangerous driving behavior, plus the usual strollers, bikes and unsupervised kids. Similar risks at E@RTC, but they make a serious effort to protect the cars.
Tbh I will be there to see some sweet Ferrari’s that will be on display and also hope to see and meet some fellow Ferrari enthusiasts. I imagine there will be many people; regardless it would be nice to have some other Ferrari’s to join to celebrate the theme.
I will come if the weather is dry. Forecast looks iffy as of now. 40 degrees and 25% chance of rain. I may come just to hang-out and look at all the nice Ferraris they will have on display inside.
Mine will be one of the cars on display inside. I have been using their products for many years and I have developed a friendship with the managers and employees as well. When they asked me to display my car, I thought why not (as I am in New York City until Saturday night and I couldn't drive it there anyway). Having to leave it there for the month is not ideal, as I will miss taking my car to other functions but no biggie. Many other events to enjoy and take my car to.
Which car inside is yours? I will check it out. I have heard they give you a complimentary Griots Detail for your trouble.
Mine is the Silverstone 2014 458 Spider. Bought it last Summer out of Chicago. Not sure if they detailed it but I won't complain if they did.....
I hope everyone attending the show has a great time and know that I will be there in spirit. Looking forward to meeting my Ferrari brothers and sisters in the future at other events. Be safe in life
Not sure if this was for me as I wasn't there to take pictures. I did have a friend at the store send me some pictures before the event. Not sure if this will work as computers aren't my thing. Now you can see why I have such a low post count.....
I pulled in around 7:55 AM and the parking lot looked pretty full. There was a line of around 100 people standing there waiting to get their free donuts all in front of the store where they usually park their featured cars. I didn't see anyone parking the featured cars in a specific area. I decided to not join the chaos and just drove out.
