That one, Patrick? Ah no, OK, you mean the "white one" in a), not "the white elephant". I see if I can find one. They were posted here, I seem to recall. Image Unavailable, Please Login
How about a complete portfolio, Patrick? (be advised that the page takes quite sometime to open, but open it will...eventually, and you will even see the factory certificate) http://www.finecars.cc/fr/detail/car/243/index.html?no_cache=1&ret=251 And I even enclose a small one that will be visible immediately to whet up your appetite; it was pictured in the "best looking 3x8" thread. My car (ch. 24961) was special ordered by John Scobilleti in 1978, and he was a Patent Attorney for Bendix Brakes and supposedly friends with Enzo Ferrari as confirmed by members on F-Chat who knew him. The car came with a huge book documenting its build at the factory and is certainly unusual at first. The book is filled with letters in Italian specifying white roof, belt line and louvers, no external emblems, chairs and chairs and flairs wheels. Interestingly, he paid $1,500 for 5 Campagnolo wheels at the time per the build sheet. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
No problem at all. When I get a chance I'll take some of the book which is really cool. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That "King Ranch" type of interior looks horrible imo. I would think a tuff sell even back then. Good thing Ferrari stuck with Connolly to make the leather interiors.
there are NO special editions like a CS/Scud/Speciale. people will talk about special orders here or dealer customizations there, but that is no different than happens today.
Do you think having the special Schedoni interior makes the car more valuable? Assuming it was a good car to start with?
Like was previously stated there were no "special edition" 308's and I would not pay more for a dealer customized car in a really off interior color. Just my 2 cents.
I would now say the 308 Vetroresina (fiberglass cars) are relatively special. More special because they came from the factory like that.
Agreed. I saw a recently restored local beauty for sale here in late 2019 that visited our Nov. local FCA event.
Would the "Sprint Pack" qualify as a Special Edition? http://yorkshireferret.blogspot.com/2016/06/ferrari-308gtb-last-throw-of-2-valve.html Were there many of them? And when and where were they available and/or not available?
I see absolutely zero 308 in it. Maybe a mid 90s 300Z or if I squint hard, the beginnings of the 348. It's red and has a Ferrari badge though, so yeah I guess it's special.
