One can only hope so, as they sacrificed a rather unique fitted yellow Enzo for it... :(

The owners son as far as I'm aware...

To the best of my current knowledge 136080 nerver crashed. It was fully intact with the Galadari family in Dubai until the very "end". That crashed yellow Enzo from the UAE back in the days was another one (totally different interior and from Abu Dhabi). The case is tricky in so far, as both cars in question looked outwardly alike back then - aftermarket painted underbody and strongly tinted windows!

From a Facebook post I made about this car, and its creator, back in November:

Originally yellow, this Enzo (s/n 136080) - yes, it really is an Enzo and not just a radically rebodied F430 - was "reimagined" by Uwe Gemballa. Yes, that Gemballa. And, unfortunately, Uwe Gemballa is Argus' second installment of this week's Murder List...

Called the MIG-U1, this car was actually inspired by ...the F50? Yes, the F50. The name represents the designers of this avant-garde Enzo interpretation: Mustafa Ilyas Galadari - with the U1 representing Uwe, and the 1 for this being the first (and, unfortunately, last) prototype.

Co-created by Mustafa Galadari and Ilyas Galadari, Uwe created this one-off using the Mustafa's yellow Enzo as the donor car. The yellow Enzo was rumored to have been wrecked, and that's why it was used as a donor car. But that's not true. Word from the owner's son himself confirms that the car was never wrecked, and that Mustafa donated a perfectly good Enzo to Uwe for this magnificent creation. Which, again, as per Mustafa himself, was inspired by the F50...

...and I still don't know how or why. And that brings us to the murder portion of the today's story. But Uwe didn't murder anyone - he was murdered - and no one knows why. And now that he's dead, we won't find out how the F50 was used as inspiration for this car. Because it was never explained, and that brings us right back to the murder... The Galadaris dropped off Uwe at the airport, for what was supposed to be a three-day trip - even though Uwe brought with him an insane amount of luggage - and he turned up murdered soon after. No one knows - or someone knows and isn't saying - how Uwe was murdered. Or why.

As I wrote and just one of many "facts" on certain Enzos, which are in the public domain ever since and taken for granted even though not true!

The circumstances (where, why and how) of his death are long known...

It is believed that Uwe's murder was tied to an illegal money laundering scheme with Czech crime boss Radovan Krejcir. According to testimony, Gemballa and Krejcir had been cahooting on nefarious transactions since 2002 but, in September of last year, problems arose. It appears Gemballa wasn't making payments on time and Krejcir told him, "...you're a dead man." After this phone call, an associate of Krejcir lured Gemballa to South Africa under the guise of setting up a business agreement. Airport surveillance shows Uwe being picked up by a light-skinned man, believed to be a Russian associate of Krejcir, on February 8th. Afterwards, the two travelled to a house and Uwe (or someone claiming to be him) was forced to call his wife and ask for one million dollars. When the money didn't arrive, Uwe was killed.

    I later learned the following:

THREE MEN CONVICTED OF UWE GEMBALLA‘S KIDNAPPING & MURDER

JOHANNESBURG - Nearly six years after world renowned supercar specialist Uwe Gemballa went missing in South Africa, three men have now been convicted of his kidnapping and murder.
The German arrived at OR Tambo International Airport in February 2010 and was never seen again.
He was in the country to set up a branch of his business, apparently with money provided by Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir and murdered strip club boss Lolly Jackson.
The High Court sitting in Palm Ridge on Wednesday convicted three men; Thabo Mogapi, Kagiso Ledwaba and Garlond Holworthy of the 2010 kidnap and murder of the world renowned supercar specialist.
The court relied heavily on cellphone data and CCTV footage.
The video images captured Gemballa meeting Holworthy at the airport and was never seen alive again.
The cellphone data placed all three men at the location where Gemballa's body was buried at 11pm one night.
Gemballa was held at a house in Edenvale for several days with his head was duct taped.
His body was wrapped in a black plastic sheet and buried in a shallow grave.
Then Hazelzet posted this in a separate post:
Radovan Krejčíř (born 4 November 1968) is a Czech former organized crime boss and convicted criminal who is serving a prison term in South Africa and is being sought for extradition by the Czech government. He has been sentenced to 15.5 years in the Czech Republic and 35 years in South Africa.
