Unfortunately it was idling for about 15 minutes. Temp gauge was pegged at high. Shut car off and immediately cooled off. Wiped up coolant and it wasn’t too much liquid.
Same thing happened to my 2008 430 spider last summer. It was the heat exhanger I believe. The dealer took care of if for me. But I believe it would not have been a huge repair bill if they hadn’t fixed it for me. I bought It used from them a couple of months prior to the leaking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
replace coolant cap (40 bucks or so), Then check the coolant hoses at front of engine, then take the access panel off the car and consider the water pump. is the coolant coming from the line from the cap or another place?
Would that cause it to overheat? I wouldn't think so. I would only expect it to leak a little coolant if it was just the cap that was bad.
The coolant cap is set at 1 bar pressure. When it goes bad, the coolant boiling temperature is lowered, causing it to boil over, losing coolant and the engine will overheat.
LISTEN TO ME. Get a pressure tester. It's super easy and will tell you immediately where the leak is coming from.

Heard from mechanic today. Apparently a thermostat temp sensor. The radiator fans would not run as a result. Problem should be fixed in a couple of weeks!
a couple of weeks to have a new thermostat temp sensor installed? No ferrari for weeks for "that"? good grief.
Did the Rad Fans come on? Maybe you need to check those (fuses up front) In 15 mins of idling the fans should have been cycling to maintain the correct temp. Its quite possible what you're seeing on the floor was from the boil-over caused by the overheating
