The flambloc can normally be taken apart and cleaned up and greased, then re fitted

 

Yup- good bunch of guys. Used them several times and always had a pleasant experience.

 

The flam bloc pin will polish up on a fine wire wheel, mine were exactly the same. The rubber might have small cracks in the bit that protruded but not effect it.
You can get the track rod ends in stainless from hills.
If u have to change the rear tie rod swivel, i have a method to swap it and retain the original aliment - dealer said it was spot on after i changed it.

Mike, So once you clean up the flam Bloc pin can you buy new rubbers for it?

 

I was thinking of doing a full Front/Rear Suspension Refresh too from them, as I was going to pick up a Clutch Replacement Kit from them too.

 

If they are not on the superperformance site then i dont think so. The rubber is either ok or it is buggered

$225 each mine are more but I don’t make garbage rubber. I use aerospace steel and Teflon blended delrin. I also have polyurethane with Teflon liners. I made them to outlast the car.

 

Here’s some more in progress pix of my latest batch. This is before plating. These are in high alloy aerospace steel. None of that brittle “aerospace aluminum” garbage everyone always uses. 6061 which will crack after a few thousand miles. I believe oem ones are standard steel in black oxide which will turn to a corroded mess after a whole.

@Sky Hye , how many do we need to replace all the ones on the vehicle?

 

There’s 8 upper and 8 lower. Lower ones are thicker.

There’s also shock bushings too but most of The issues are the flamblocks (control arm bushings)

 

So 16 in total at 225 each for yours?
