At one point this car was converted to a twin turbo. Bummer no OEM exhaust - I've heard capristo on CS and it didn't sound nearly as good as stock exhaust.
I've been told that a non-stock exhaust eliminates registration in California. Which may be a third of the market.
Does anyone have a video or sound clip of a CS exhaust with Fabspeed/4 to 1 headers, test pipes, and stock muffler?
that's sorta a huge material fact. How does that even work? Given the high compression ratio on these cars... Was this all the "original engine" and now this car has a new OEM CS motor? I'd want to know the full story (with documents) before I bid on this car...
Found some pics of a TT CS on flickr, could this be the same car? Pics taken in Feb 2010 in Florida by Peter Tromboni: https://www.flickr.com/photos/pt1202/4360707604/in/photostream/ Both cars in Florida. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

you mean that one that is "loaded with options" LOL... (its got the rare yellow rev counter! And some nice carbon options too if i'm reading this list of options correctly) LOADED WITH OPTIONS: Factory Radio Yellow Rev Counter Alcantara Upper Dash Deviated Red Stitching Carbon Fiber Racing Seats Carbon Fiber Door Panels Carbon Fiber Center Console Carbon Fiber Engine Bay Panels Red & Black Leather Steering Wheel Black & Red Alcantara Interior Rare Factory Carpeted Interior Carbon Ceramic Brakes Rear Challenge Grilles Black Brake Calipers Fire Extinguisher
i have seen and heard this car. personally, i like having piss-off-your-neighbor exhausts, but this car has bypassed everything and has a piss-off-the-whole-neighborhood exhaust. unbelievably loud even at idle. paint a bit affected on rear deck lid. interior slightly tired beyond its miles.
Radio and extinguisher were options. Dealer really trying to upsell all them 'options', I mean the bits that already come as standard issue on a CS. LOL The capristo is loud? Wonder if it was a stage 3 capristo... Interior tired from fading carbon fiber, sticky parts or worn alcantara? The CS' I've seen in recent years with alcantara commonly have faded upper dashes and pilling of fabric around side bolsters and shoulder areas where seat belts rub. I dig the "Challenge car" look and feel of alcantara, but it does seem to need a bit more upkeep over leather. But after 15 years I suppose it shouldn't be too much of a surprise to have normal wear and tear. Image Unavailable, Please Login
^ I tried to sort that messy alcantara on the car when I got it. Michael B provided some great advice and I used 600 grit sand paper. It did a little but still looks messy. I don't have the bullocks to do any more for fear of ruining it and requiring a new dash. I'll have a professional take a stab at it.
I’d just get a new dash. There’s an upholstery shop not far from me that fixed the leather headliner in my CS. They could do a new dash in no time.
I'm not saying it will be cheap. I'm just saying it's easily done. I kinda wish my interior was in bad shape. I'd love to get it all redone and get some new car smell going again.
That is the set up I carry... will try to shoot a movie next time I am out. I took her out this weekend, but just read your text now

I used Gillette Fusion 5 on drivers seat worked well , do not use the handle place just the blade between your index finger and middle finger keep changing the directions of the blade, its worth a try I would like to know if it works for you ?
I don’t have bullocks big enough to try that. Lol Anyone know how to remove the leather door sill covers? I removed the two bolts holding them in but still can’t pull them off.
if i were a buyer id wanna know - is it our moral responsibility to ask the seller if thats the case?
I couldnt find a CS I want at the right price/condition so I am moving on from Pista and into...Lusso V12 while I continue to *patiently* wait for a CS. Sigh.
