I'm not able to publish the photos here (an understandable preference for family privacy), but now that I know where the car was and when, I can hopefully track down some other images of it.

I realise I never updated this with a better quality photo of the Motor Sport mag advert from 1975. Here's a much clearer image showing the reg plate, courtesy of Steve Dyer at Brian Classic.

I do like originality in cars, but I'm really hoping this walnut dash is still in the car whenever it next turns up in photos.

FWIW, it seems likely that the car was sold on in about 1978.

Thread bump. I still haven't found anyone who has a lead on where this car might be. There really aren't many UK Daytonas that are totally off-grid - this one's a real mystery!

Very interesting. I note an an additional air vent facing the occupants on top of the three on top of the dash that do an average job of warming or cooling the Windscreen. Was a better AC system part of the customisation?

Absolutely no idea, Matthew. The car's not on anyone's radar, so I'm hoping it's been shut away in a garage and will emerge one day soon so that we can have a proper gander at the bespoke fittings.

What is the horizontal slot on the lower dash in front of the shift lever? Is that to play an 8 track tape? The radio is gone?
Great persistence to be able to share that interior view picture and s/n details!

To me it looks more like a cassette player with equalizer sliders by the side [ showing my age now]
