Ooops, 12K miles not 12 miles.
As far as I am concerned trips are all they are really good for. I have driven our TR and 328 in monsoon like storms and had no issue with defrosters, heaters, visibility or traction. If I didn't feel like I could drive it coast to coast neither would be taking up space in the garage. I think some people are just better off with a Buick.
Thanks Ross for taking it easy on me - I was expect to get slaughtered on that comment. Classic Ferrari’s are very cool.
I drove my TR over 200 miles in the rain to two FCA events. Just put new wiper blades before the trip. No problem, What is the issue?
have driven the 512tr absolutely everywhere and in everything. even a snow storm at midnight in chamonix (spun out twice on the way down from the tunnel) . it has been across 8 different countries and 40k km. i have vmaxed it at bruntingthorpe and hauled ass across europe when speed limits were somewhat optional. i have practically moved house in it. it is my go-to ferrari and my favorite of all the cars. it is invincible! ps, eventho my 512tr and the 512bbi are only 9 years apart, they feel 20 years apart in technology, build quality, road handling, poise at speed, etc. i love them both, but in different ways
I had a Grand National. The GNX was just some cosmetic changes. The instruments were nice. The extra HP went away when they needed to pass EPA requirements. Only the press car had any extra power. GN went OK. Worst handling car I ever owned. My Lightning is pretty wallowy but is still head and shoulders above the GN for handling.
The interior doesn't do much for me either and I did own a T-type Regal back then. Still, I wouldn't mind one but wont pay Testarossa money to get it.
For the GNX’s you had to remove the catalytic converters and replace it with a straight pipe, they then had about 40 more hp than the 300 they were rated for, the dealer gave me the test pipe, this was common knowledge back in the day. I’d never buy another one, really bad handling. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
