they can be converted with (relative to the cars price) minimal expense (if you can get ferrari to agree to selling you the parts)

    there really isn't much difference

The point was some clients wanted to buy more than one car. Ferrari said no.
However as we know with Ferrari 'almost anything is possible' given enough time and money...

frankly I'm suprised that anyone bought the SP1 as there's barely any advantage imo

They look better imo. But having a friend along for the ride is always the best experience.

If there is enough demand for the ability to convert from one to the other, and Ferrari won't do it, there will be an aftermarket solution. Problem is, in the US the car isn't fully street legal, so you'd have to register it for display only, so I don't see the demand rising to that level. At least not here.

If it was street legal, and I had the coin, I'd probably want a convertible version. There are obviously only a few pieces involved.

I would keep it SP1 most of the time, and change to SP2 only when I was entertaining.

It's my favorite Ferrari in a very long time.

I just saw an SP2 in person, all I can say is that the car is way more beautiful and impressive in person.

Pearl white with TDF stripe and blue interior. It looks incredible. Very tastefully done.

I really want to post it but it's not my car and want to respect the owners privacy.

I hope that’ll happen, the dream spec would be a Monza coupe with an open gate 6spd. Although they won’t do such a thing.

I don’t think they will do a Monza coupe, it would be too dilutive for the Monza customers.
I do think they will make a gorgeous 60’s-style couple as part of the Icona series...it will not be a Monza with a roof though

No confirmed info. I believe we will see it in 2021, but that is based purely on the info that 2020 will only have a couple of launches in the second half -and no Icona- and also that the second Icona will come before the next Hypercar (which I estimate sometime end of 2022).
I also know that Monza buyers will have priority. That is confirmed

I believe the rumors are of a removable wind screen for the USA.

That would be very funny...lots of people turned down the car because it was not road legal and now it will be possible to drive it in the US? Good for the price of the car though...One of the most beautiful Ferrari ever and now usable everywhere

Last I heard it wasn't street legal here. Just for display and demonstration, which comes with many restrictions.

Yes currently. What I’m referring to is a rumored future release that would possibly make it road legal.

My opinion is that there is no reason of having a Monza Coupé, as the Monza is an Icona model inspired from the old Monza’s.

But, as we have just seen with the Roma, Ferrari could totally design the replacement of the 812SF with a similar face and similar optics and lines.
