Shopping Houston homes and found a nice garden oaks place. But they have these rather large speed bumps in the neighborhood. Has anyone had their Ferrari through here to know if my stock 360 will clear wo scraping? I know it’s a long shot. milk probably pull a tape on them before I make an offer. car guy problems
Hate those damn things!!! Don’t have a Ferrari. Had a lowered GT3 for awhile. I was fine around most speed humps. Had to go slow and angle. But, I don’t live on a street with them and don’t know if I could handle that on regular basis.
Thanks will. wonder if there is a clever way to measure height of a speed bump. these are the long sloping 4’ wide variants.
My 348 clears the ones in the Heights OK, and I assume we have the same ones as you describe. Let me know the street name and I'll try to run by there this weekend.
Great—. Please run by 500 block of w 33rd street if you have time. my research says Hou speed humps should be 4” max and 360 clearance is 5.1” for modena. have to link up once I get moved for some car club stuff. Coming from San Antonio we are super spoiled w a great club drives trackdays. Hope hou f club has similar atmosphere.
Jeff, don’t know if you’d be interested or not but there was a group buy for membership to MSR Houston if trackdays are your thing for that LS M3 and your 360! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Very interested but will need to see how things settle out after biting off my next real estate chunk. Do you have a link to the pre buy? look forward to getting settled in. going to miss the safety inspection only bexar county treatment! Back to obd2 checks of Harris county blah.
No link for the buy, just an email introduction with the sales manager and that's it! If you do end up closing on the place in Garden Oaks, let me know if there's anything I can do to help, I live in Cottage Grove so it's super close by but can't check the speed bumps for you since the car's up on stands at the moment!
speed bumps are only one of the obstacles.....what i hate are the massive ditches in front of driveways
I am interested in the GB for MSR I have lived at quite a few apartments around Houston, so far the FF makes it through, sometimes i need to use the lift My RC-F TE scrapes a lot, I wish I had a lift on that
Tim- thx for the offer. Hope to transact in next 4-6 weeks. will call msr today on the buyin. i built my ls swap m3 for msr... Ross— oh yes narrow 1940’s driveways and soft ditches. But we really enjoyed the city livin in our last go home 2 yrs ago. Big German Shepherd w bad attitude really helps keep honest people honest in the city. Vra- look forward to the Houston f car scene. The San Antonio Austin crew was great welcoming bunch.
one4torque, The speed bumps over there are all long wavelength so they're no problem, at least not for a stock ride height 348. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login My biggest problem is the angle of attack and even that wasn't a problem. What dummy made the first thing to hit the ground a rigid piece of fiberglass? Image Unavailable, Please Login I did find a hazard with buckled pavement at the corner with Ashland. There is a severe buckle just feet to the west of the intersection. Other than that, you should be fine.
1 Step closer to Houston - San Antonio Home on the market 72 hrs and we have a contract. Ready to get back into the Houston Rat-Race..... and good eating. Will look to link up with the Houston F Car Club when we get settled. Cheers.
