I wonder if we will see more of a shift to Conus on F8 allocations due the impact and limitations in the PRC and Hong Kong supply chain constraints. New York Times “Ferrari CEO Louis Camilleri said Tuesday the Italian luxury sports car maker could shift deliveries to other markets to adjust to any weakness in China due to the coronavirus, and that he was more concerned about Hong Kong”

  2. From order to delivery is something like ~6 months, if you're lucky.

If the Coronavirus is still an issue 6 months from today, we'll all be dead. So which continent will have more F8 allocations will largely be a moot point, if not an entirely silly one.

    It's an interesting proposition.
Head Office has for sure shifted volume to China. If there is instability in a region (war, politics, currency, ad infinitum), it stands to reason that order fulfillment could readily shift to more stable regions despite the significant lead times. Re-allocate the VIN, slap on new cosmetics to fulfill a ROW order and fill the China/HK order later... sounds easy enough. And why not?
Of more immediate (theoretical) concern is the supply chain to the mothership. With the Middle Kingdom forcing closures of factories, how long until manufacturers discover the rate limiting step is not Zanasi's through-put but some two-bit widget typically shipped en masse?
Ferrari is low volume compared to the larger marques, so the greater financial implications will be felt when global manufacturers (auto and otherwise) discover their shelves going bare.
    Interesting times.
