LaCosse is a really good TE that was also hurt all season.
There are a lot of great TE's - that never get the ball thrown to them.
There was a guy in Minn a few years ago - Shiancoe at TE - did NOTHING.
Then Favre got there, and he was an all-pro.
Then Favre left, and he was seldom used.

I am not so sure a speed guy is what they need, they had Brandin Cooks and seldom used him 2 years ago.

He would do really well NOW, well, if he was 25...

Bob Griese? Len Dawson? John Hadl? Johnny Unitas? Joe Namath? sitting ducks...

Looks like the Pats are willing to spend $30 million to keep Brady. They would be foolish not to.

Ok, so I am going to make two bold predictions here. All week, the only thing I'm hearing is SF defense vs KC offense. How many times has there been a huge build up, only for it turn out the opposite?

    Here are my two predictions:

    1) this game will actually be about the 49ers offense and the KC defense, I'm going opposite of everyone else

    2) this game will remain under 55 points, because from what understand about 80% of the bets are on the over.

    2) seems reasonable given #1 versus #9 defense.

    1) reasonable too IMO. Teams always seem motivated to take away an opponent's strength in a game like this. So, then it's up to someone else to stand up for the victory. In that scenario, can Jimmy G carry the Niners on his shoulders?

Thanks. So, do you think Jimmy G can carry this team if he has to? Channel his inner Joe Montana!

I think he can, because of the talent around him and Shanahan's play calling.

In the 49ers 3 losses, they turned the ball over and gave the other team points off turnovers. My only beef with Jimmy is he throws the odd kick-in-the-groin INT, and fumbles when being sacked.

I wonder if that's a percentage of the money they added up of all the times he took less money.

As Oddball (Kelley's Heroes) would say, "Always with the negative waves Mike"! :D

That being said, I wouldn't doubt it for one bit. Remember last years 13-3 track meet? ;)

Even though my Pats aren't in it, unlike Keith I really think this should be a very entertaining game. I am anxious to watch it.

I knew what you meant ;)

My theory is if the public knew the outcome then Vegas would be broke.

80% bet the over, I take the under (or as they say the "smart" money is on the under)

Not even close. He took at least 50% discount over several years.

I mean, Mathew freakin Stafford gets $27 million a year, and isn't fit enough to lick Brady's jock strap.

Goff wasn't ready for the big moment last year. He was awful all game. And Sean McVay was awful too, not adjusting.

    Yikes!

Stafford may be the poster child for what happens when the QB makes so much money that his team has no dough left over for any other players. Add in the fact that they are the Lions, and that's a recipe for disaster. Hope Dak is paying attention...T
