Well, I was actually looking for a 458 (found one) but during my search also ran into a beautiful black F430?

Plan is to use it as daily driver during summer so I really don't need both but still...

    Who am I to say:

    Don't.

I have two Ferraris, a 575M and a 412, both 12 cylinders but very different drives. 430 and 458 are the same kind of Ferrari. I could understand your getting a 458 and a 12, not two eights in near generations.

    I tend to agree .. I think having a front engine 12 , a rear flat 12 and a rear 8 and a ff would be good

    Buy what makes you happy.

If you can afford it and it makes you happy. Go for it.

    It could all change tomorrow.

After growing up constantly hearing "Nobody needs _____", as long as "Because I can" coexists with "Because I want to", I'm good with it.
    Lacking either kills the equation.

    That’s what she said! Hehehehe

Life is too short to care what others may think... enjoy yourself and try not to hurt anyone while you do it. If you manage that, then have whatever you want. Two V8’s are very similar, but there’s enough difference to make those two cars worth holding alongside each other. Next though, get a V12 for those special trips - Enzo himself didn’t count you a true Ferrari owner until you owned a V12, and even the factory, in my experience, respects the V12 owners just that little bit more even now

You don’t need to justify it to anyone but yourself, and if you’ve ticked all the priority boxes that have come before cars in your list, then that’s all you need to do.

Some people collect stamps, some people collect art, others collect cars. Simple.

Exactly, there is no practical reason for owning a Ferrari. Hasn't stopped me though.

The only reason l don’t have more than one Ferrari is garage space.

My advice is to get the 458. If that doesn’t melt your butter you can always add a 430.

I have owned three Fcars. The 458 is iconic. Really.
