Hi, I'm french and a happy recent FF owner. I tried the 488 and the F12 but have 2 litlle daughters and didn't wanted a toy I couldn't share with them or close friends. I'm very happy with the FF and its magical V12, Daytona inside, CF package, diamond wheels etc... But one thing is not so nice with my car: the grids (side and front) are not very clean, they look like slightly rusted. I noticed the same on some others FF for sale. Did some of you experienced this issue? Some pics of the car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice car, where are you in France? We will be at Le Mans in June as always, I will be in my FF. Let me know if you plan to be there. On the gods, as you call them, i think you mean the wire mesh grills in the front bumper and on the sides? I don’t have a rusting issue, however i do with the chrome exhaust tips. I expect it is easy to get the grills out and to repaint them in a high quality metal paint. I think they could look good in Matt black? It’s just chromed thin metal alloy, not the highest quality part!
I had the same problem with the grilles around the exhaust tips on my 612. After frustrating attempts to keep them clean and rust free, I had them nickel plated. They look great and no more rust.
Moi Non- tu peux tenter d en trouver chez eurospares.co.uk La mienne n a pas ce problème ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hi Outrun, I live at 100km far from LeMans, so it is possible I will go there in June, I will tell you if yes. Painting thoses grids in matt black was my idea as well, I have to make a test; I modded my Porsche cars but I believe our F cars must stay as close as from the factory.
Hi, I can get them nickel/chrome/etc... plated easily with my job but I'm anxious to bolt them off, they must be glued?
Salut!
I don't know how they came off my 612 as I had it done. Of course they may be attached differently on the FF.
Same here. I little rusty and in general, I'm not a big fan of the grey grills. Is there an easy way to get them off? I consider dip painting them in black In addition, how do I get the rear Cavallino Off? Thanks Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my Pixel 3 using FerrariChat.com mobile app
