NoahLH, The mileage itself was an issue only because I wanted a low mileage car. I had no particular prejudice as to miles or that car. In fact, Pozzi with tan or cuoio was my first preference. Pozzi is a beautiful color, and this one is very nice especially with the piping. The 360 I just bought had 4,331 miles on the clock at delivery, and it's a 2000. So, it was my preference for the low miles because I plan to keep this car a while.
I don't think this was the same car...If you have the VIN number of that one, I would be interested in knowing. I talked to the owner this morning and told him of the rumor and he said, not this car...I have no reason not to believe him or you though. He did say there was another pozzi blue one in NC that was for sale recently...maybe a coincidence?
PPI is happening Thursday/Friday of this week...hopefully if all checks out OK, I will have it mid next week. For everyone who has had a PPI done...did you get a compression/leak down test done on the engine? Fairly costly, but cheaper to pay that than make the "big" mistake and get a lemon.
"Originally Posted by horsmanp I called and passed on this car because they said it had been repainted... The story they gave me was the wife had keyed the whole car in a fit of rage, but I would look very hard to find evidence of an accident..." That car was first for sale in Tennessee, then in Georgia by Select Luxury, and then by an independent in PA. I had spoken to the Tenessee dealer in September about it just after it went to Select in GA. The car AndyD is buying is not the same car. It's a much better car.
Yes, I agree on the safer than sorry routine!...even my wife agreed with that one! I sent you a PM...
Andy, Your wife agreeed? (intentional misspelling) Are you sure you told her everything? How many pair of shoes will that cost you. My 360 cost me a new 530i! You got off easy if she bought the deal that simply!
There is no such thing as a "fair trade". It's called compromise! good luck with that pretty car, though.
I liked that color so much my Ferrari mechanic that maintained my 308 said I had to buy it because the owner was "afraid to drive it." My 360 in your color is a 2004 Spyder and has a Capristo exhaust, upgraded audio, and only 9,654 miles with all records. Now over 10,000 and counting. Enjoy the drive!! I had the 1985 308 about 15 years and put about 25,000 miles on it when I sold it.
