308 Main Shaft and Lay Shaft Lock Nuts

    Hi All,

    I need to strip the gearbox in a 308 as a bearing has failed.
    Have the 56mm ring tools to undo the lock nuts x 4.

    Just need to know the thread direction for these nuts, which ones are LH thread and which are RH?

    I have always just looked at the ringnut and shaft and could see enough to determine LH or RH.

    ****, I would not know to even look at the threads unless I have an inkling that there is a need for a left handed thread. That is not obvious.

    Thank you -- you can see that they made an error in the item numbers on TAV 27 and have 14 and 15 swapped.
