I’ve got a place in mind. Just too much snow here now. Family truckster instead!

    A twist on colcannon.

I added broccoli and mushrooms (both precooked) to all the usual suspects.

Never heard of that. Do you use kale or cabbage?

Good morning Tom! I use curly kale most always. Most of my cabbage consumption is of sauerkraut. Not one to cook it often, but I should try some in my taters one day.

Thanks Rob. Could probably also use chard. We've had great luck growing chard in the garden the past few years...T

Went to the gas station down the street again for lunch. Got the beef fajita quesadilla. I'll try to remember to take a picture when I eat the other half for dinner.

The tacos are a better deal at $2.50 or $2.75 a piece. They stuff those suckers full. But the quesadilla is only $7 and good sized. Half was perfect.

Our dealership is about 3 blocks away from a Shell gas station that doubles as a deli, fried chicken restaurant, and coffee shop.

Had a roast beef sandwich on toasted white bread with swiss and a little bit of mayo, made to order, from a gas station :)

Coincidentally, it's a Shell station as well. :)

I can get a hamburger there. I may try it one time.

I gotta get back to France! It's been way too long.
The chicken may actually be the third most interesting thing in that picture, after what appears to be a Mauviel copper oval skillet and the wine!

    How was the wine?

The Bordeaux was superb...fully mature and the perfect accompaniment to the wonderful chicken. And, yes, that was a Mauviel skillet, as was the saucepan holding the morel sauce:

Casual lunch in Santa Cruz de la Palma. Nice little square with an outdoor cafe and a lady playing saxophone. Grilled chicken skewers, jamon e queso croquettes and pappas bravas. Nice cold local beer. Very nice.

Sorry, Lupini beans Tom, at the top of the pic. They are big in Italy, I hear. They usually pop them out of their skins with a squeeze between the thumb and finger....I just eat them whole. They come brined in a jar, or what we buy are. I think they're a bit nicer texture than canned chick peas, salty from the brine. Oh, they can be rinsed first too, or that is suggested, but I don’t bother.
