Well, not yet, but planning to. FL uses a lot of laser, and I’m just tired of the sheer number of police on every square inch of asphalt. And the ‘58 gets away easily if one even gets a little distracted.

Mixed use, in town and on the major highways.......

458 Spider, looking for the best/highest rated unit. I don’t want a bunch of wires or bulky dashboard obstructions if possible. Was going to go K40, but I’m not getting that warm fuzzy based on internet reviews.

I know this has previously been covered ad nauseum, but technology changes (on both ends!), so looking for some encouragement from fellow Fchatters.

Help me out, guys......thanks in advance !

ALP is still one of the best systems in the market. I have it in my daily.

ALP is excellent from what I’ve gathered.

I have the Beltronics STIr radar with Blinder dual front and dual rear laser jammers. All integrated into the car. The control pad is below the AC controls, and the display unit is fitted into the steering wheel column. I think it works, knock on wood :)

A few pics from the install - ended up getting the Escort Max ci. Install by Sound Depot locally - they took their time and did it properly (personally I'd never undertake a project of this magnitude).

The display is not nearly as intrusive as it looks in the pic, but it can be moved if I decide. There are three shifters up front plus radar detector, with control pad in center console (velcro).

It'll take me a while to get used to the system, including the seductive female voice warning of impending doom.

I'm tired of it as well. City driving is three things.

    1.) Cops everywhere
    2.) Traffic
    3.) Road construction
