Got a Christmas present from my dealer today. They gave me my order number and build date for my C8 corvette. Build date is 3/2/20 So it wont be much longer
Not sure about it being the second day of production but I do know its very early in the process so yeah I expect a low serial. I am just happy my wait is short
Ordered mine through Kerbeck and have a 2/3/20 TPW. First week of production. I almost wish it was a few weeks later so they can get some practice in.....
For others frame of reference: I’m #1 at a small dealer (20 total allocations for the year), and I have a TPW of 3/9. Delivery in April???
Been putzing around with the Configurator. I think this will be my spec. Long Beach red tintcoat Silver stripes Bright red calipers 3LT Full tan interior Premium floor matts Red seat belt Mechanical options: Front lift and performance exhaust About 85 grand. I think its rather pretty. And from what I gather pretty rare from what most are ordering. GM May Target Dealers Charging Over MSRP for the 2020 Corvette with Reduced Allocations blah blah blah - jump to 6th paragraph https://www.corvetteblogger.com/2020/01/20/video-gm-may-target-dealers-charging-over-msrp-for-the-2020-corvette-with-reduced-allocations/
I was going to do LBR, full tan, but I wanted to see LBR in person- some pics didn’t look good, seems like one of those colors you need to see in person. I think it will be awesome. Probably do something similar when Z06 rolls out.
I think LBR will look more brown in cloudy/overcast weather conditions but look amazing in the sun. It reminds me of Mclaren's Volcano red.
GM pulled all target production weeks down, unless you hit “status 3300” in their ordering system. For reference I was originally told 3/9/20, then that disappeared. I was told by concierge yesterday that I am now at 3300 and back to my original TPW. There does seem to be some minor shuffling for whatever reason- some moved up, some delay.
That is a nice looking configuration. Body colored side moldings I'd try, but the color and interior goes great together. Silver stripe adds "maturity"
Spoke to my dealer this evening, my car is at status 3300 Order Scheduled for Production and is on target to be built this coming Monday March 2nd.

Any updates? Just curious what the lag times are between the stages of delivery. I would be feeling a bit like one of those Overhaulin' folks in the seasons where they told you up front.
